The human skeletal system is a vital part of a human structure due to its contents, such as bones that provide shape and aids in motion. It is quite interesting that bones have divisions such as flat-Sternum, irregular bone –Vertebrae lung Bones-Humerus, Sesmuid Bone-Patella and Short bones-Carpal. Also, the hollow place inside the bones known as Medulla contains calcium and minerals to nourish bones and aid in smooth movements. The situation is fascinating since it acts as a replica of a hollow strut assembly on cars that must be lubricated to enable perfect motion. Also, the compact bone, just like the outer metals in the moving parts of an automotive is strong to prevent bending and fracture. Also, some names given to parts of a skeletal system replicates tags provided to natural resources such as rivers. It is also interesting that canals that contain the blood vessels that allow the smooth exchange between osteocytes reflects the function of the hollows in the engines of automotive that allows lubrication.
It is quite confusing that the osteocytes sense the changes in the local strain and at the same time forms part of the canals. The bones also have very many systems and parts that create confusion on which part to dwell on when explaining different functions. Also, the function taking place inside the bones is a puzzle since it has a form of remodelling that includes the breaking down and formation of bones. The process of osteoclasts and osteoblasts are confusing since they form almost similar roles. Osteoclasts liberate minerals and store molecules while osteoblasts make an osteoid matrix that contains protein and minerals. Their functions are almost similar, creating a lot of confusion concerning specificity. Finally, I would like to know the number of bones that form the human skeletal system.
