Recent studies show that the impact of elimination complexities affects the parent's lives as well as their families to a greater extent. As pointed out by Grembowski et al. (2014), the effects of elimination complexities include social, psychological, financial, and lack of control and helplessness. The financial impact of elimination complexity is very costly since the cost of taking care of patients with chronic diseases is often high. Meeting this cost requires hiring caretakers, transport costs to the health care facility, and the general treatment. Lack of control and helplessness includes several signs such as anger, loss, frustration, and guilt displayed by parents. The psychological consists of the extent of stress that affect both the parents and their families, and sometimes this can lead to depression. Additionally, elimination complexities disrupt the social life of both the parents and their families. Most of the time, parents feel stigmatized, and this leads to psychological problems. Elimination complexities affect the lives of parents and their families by disrupting their school routines, work routine, and leisure time.

Nurses play a vital role in supporting the patients' psychological and emotional needs. Studies show patients with mental and emotional needs often display specific symptoms like sadness, aggression, and violence. This requires exceptional individual support and care from nurses to ensure the patients recover and improve the quality of their lives. The nurses provide specialized care to them and create a treatment plan that assists them to recover and get better. Additionally, nurses assist the psychological and emotionally needy patients by listening to them, talking to them, face their questions, encourage them, and support them emotionally. For instance, nurses talk to the patients about what happened and make them feel what happened is real, and the patient gets an understanding of the incident, its causes, and its impact. This decreases the potential feelings of guilt, and most of them eventually get better.
