Medicare has a great impact on my state following its numerous insurance programs that are necessary for quality healthcare. Medicare is the national health insurance program, which is administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services located in every state. It has a greater impact in my state since the insurance program covers people age 65 or older, who might not have sources of income to assure them for better treatment (Hsia et. al, 1988). Moreover, the program covers people with disabilities and patients with permanent kidney failure catering for their maintenance, which would otherwise be expensive if not insured.
The program incorporates different health and drug programs that make Medicare choices easier for the members of my state. Medicare has numerous benefits that induce a greater impact in my state. Furthermore, applying Medicare is fast since it only takes a span of 10 minutes. Also, Medicare executes strategies that aim at protecting the identity of the members of the state (McCall et. al, 1986). Furthermore, their pledge to give patients the first priority ensures a great relationship between patients and doctors hence helping them make great health care decisions.

Additionally, Medicare facilitates full cover inpatient care in hospitals availing skilled nursing facilities for long-term care. Also, Medicare covers home health care and hospice care hence having a great impact in the healthcare sector. Furthermore, Medicare covers the cost of medical services including outpatient care, doctor’s services among other necessary services (McCall et. al, 1986). In my state, a considerable population has Medicare cards that assure them access to prescription drug coverage regardless of the health status, income or prescription drug usage. Through taking responsibility for the families with low incomes, both Medicaid and Medicare have maintained quality healthcare in my state providing primary health care services at an affordable cost.
