Research Question
1. How does telehealth's expansion affect nursing processes, responsibilities, triage, and patient-throughput in the acute-care hospital setting during the Covid-19 pandemic in Illinois?
Problem Statement
The outbreak of coronavirus disease, Covid-19, has been a concern for the general public health. The virus has the potential of causing illness to both humans and animals (Adhikari et al. 2020). In humans, the Covid-19 affects the respiratory organs leading to organ problems and severe other breathing difficulties. Older adults and those with other underlying problems are usually more susceptible to contraction of the diseases. They are a global problem as pronounced by the world health organization, the most probable solution to reducing the significant spreads through social distancing (Moccia et al. 2020). However, the people affected are still in dire need of support to get the required medications, food, and even shelter. Hence, there is the need to develop unique and innovative solutions that can address the critical needs of patients suffering from Covid -19 (Pang et al. 2020). The use of Telehealth technology can offer solutions that are both patient-centered and has the potential to offer protection to the patients, physicians, and other people.

Rationale
Due to the nature of the covid 19 virus and how fast and easy it can be contracted, it is essential that the idea of telehealth technology is given a priority. The concept is already in practice, and caregivers frequently use it to limit patient visits while curbing the spread of covid 19. Similarly, covid 19 requires routine, and some of the services do not necessarily require physical patient-provider interaction. Therefore, expanding the use of such technology will ensure that services such as psychological support are offered to patients at the provider's convenience, reducing the chances of contracting the same disease.
Relevance
Telehealth technology is relevant to my course as it uses digital information and other communication technologies relevant to my field of study. Previous lessons helped me gain knowledge of how to use technology to enhance human daily operations' efficiency. The need to offer solutions to daily challenges makes this topic of study relevant as it helps doctors and other caregivers improve on their services. Furthermore, caregivers currently use telehealth to provide care to patients, thereby minimizing patient visits.
Project Timeline
The project shall begin in Week 3 Sunday, where the research question formulates, rationale developed, and the timeline set. Week 16 will form the final date for the research, where there will be a conference presentation and completion of the final abstract that will eventually be used for the students' academic life.
