Is this work still applicable to the modern military?
In the new challenges and threats to the modern military, Clausewitz’s methodology on warfare remains applicable in various ways and still remains one of the most powerful military theories as they provide an important blue print in the military (Clausewitz, 1956).

Should all military students be required to read this work?
The military should read this work as it gives the quality of the commander in the chapter entitled “On Military Genius.” On this chapter he gives a combination of elements in which one or the other ability may prevail. These elements include both physical and moral intelligence and courage (Cornish, 2003).
Impacts of Clausewitz’s language on the overall content
In his overall content, Clausewitz’s language remains of great impact which is widely taught in military schools. His language involved excelling at strategy, and he differentiated between strategy and planning (Dufort, 2017). He also emphasized the simplicity of a strategy to strengthen it and how it requires a dynamic process to be successful.
Greatest weakness of Clausewitz’s work
The most significant weakness of Clausewitz’s work is the continental orientation, which lessens its validity externally.
Greatest strength of Clausewitz’s work
The main strength lies in that Clausewitz does not attempt to impose a set solution (Bassford, 1994). His theory is descriptive of human strategic issues and activities to develop human capital to help the reader develop his or her own judgment to deal with the strategic environment that keeps changing.
My Opinion
In my opinion, Clausewitz’s ideas remain widely used by the military and are important for the modern strategists.
