1. The importance of spending quality time with loved ones and creating essential memories

According to sociology scholars, there are many benefits of spending time together with the loved ones and creating memories. Research shows that when people fail to do it they suffer loneliness and this can lead to death. Research shows that when seniors are admitted to the hospital, and they fail to have their relatives come to visit them, they risk of dying is increased. Additionally creating time with loved ones allows people to build on lasting relationships, and more importantly, they get a tendency to tolerate faults among family members.

Additional reasons why people should spend time with their loved ones is that they live their children an opportunity to build in self-confidence. When parents show that they value children, the kids will become more sociable and develop in self-esteem. According to Drape (2018), a family vacation is an important event that can help to create bonds among family members. It is an event that goes beyond the sights seen or the adventures endured. It created a feeling of cohesion and shared discovery, surprises, and simple pleasures. The author mentions how simple memories of burgers and one of his relative biting on their snacks reminds them of an old mind of the celebrations of the countries bicentennial ( Drape, 2018) . If the simple snacks were not available and the relatives were absent, the author would not have such vivid memories.

2. The impact of technology in on social interactions

As new technology advancements are reported each day, family bonds and interactions are negatively impacted. It is reported that there is a divide between the roles the children and parents used to play. Technology has also destroyed the relationship that children had with their children. One notable reason behind this is the fact that children are receiving messages from the internet and media telling them that parents are selfish, immature, incompetent and somehow clueless.

Moreover, the presence of newer technologies such as television, video games, and smartphones make it hard for children and their parents to interact. For parents who cannot provide their children with such gadget, they might experience rebellious behaviors form the kids ( Byrum, 2015). The new technology might also be putting the family’s privacy at stake because they might be vulnerable to illegal surveillance by hackers.

Though technology is essential for accessing information, its use, especially among the children, should be monitored. Failure to monitor this access might put the entire family at risk of privacy breaches by malicious people. Children and parents should create time for important tasks and social interactions. Switching the phones off during meals and prayer time would be essential in creating bonds and maintaining connections.

3. The connection between either family or friends

Personally, I have friends who I trust more than my family members. In this regard, I have more expectations of such friends than I have on some of my family members. However, when putting my expectations on them, I tend to be realistic to avoid regrets and disappointments. My expectations on my friends are based on my experiences with them, and they also suit with their interest and capabilities.

Anew study confirms that creating strong friendships’ is essential for living a happy life. The seniors are the people who are in great need of maintaining a supportive friendship because such a union enhances a sense of wellbeing more than family connections does ( MacMillan, 2017 ). Having such strong relationships allows the participants to enjoy privacy, build confidence and be truthful to each other. Supportive friends will also be there to defend each other when challenges arise.

4. How social interactions and family bonds might not apply to the recovery of the country

According to Ruiz-Grossman (2018), most of the women who are held in detention centers are mostly immigrants from nearby countries. Following the detention, the mothers had been separated from their children, while their kids were as young as one year old. The mother was denied an opportunity to reconnect with their kids and some lack an idea where their children are ( Ruiz-Grossman, 2018 ). These faults could be corrected if the government could strategize on passing more favorable policies that do not sideline the immigrants. The law enforcement authorities should desist form separating the migrant parents and their children.
