The Americans fielded at least fourteen distinct military forces during the War because the minorities in the U.S. then also wanted an opportunity to fight for their country. The minority groups included; Jewish-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Polish-Americans, Italian-Americans, Arab-Americans, and Armenian-Americans. All of these minorities were integrated into the military, and this integration is said to be a key strength of the force then.
The Continental Congress financed the Revolutionary War by printing money and borrowing from European nations because war is an expensive affair and the U.S.A then ( composed of 13 states) did not have enough to fund a war. Thus the war was funded as follows; The 13 States printed their own Money (39%), Congress printed its own money (28%), The 13 states issued their debt certificates (14%), Congress issued its debt certificates (10%), Congress received loans from Europe (6%), Congress sold bonds to wealthy, Patriotic Americans (3%).

The Confederation Congress could not force the states to follow national laws because. The states could not be forced by congress then to obey the laws as simply put; the Congress did not have enough power to enforce the laws they had enacted.
British troops were still on American soil after the War even though that violated the Treaty of Paris because it was a long and rigorous process of surrender. There were still many skirmishes between Americans and the British. In addition to this, the Americans (thus America) were not stable economically and politically; the constitution was formed after the last of the British left.

The key difference between Rhode Island and Massachusetts in dealing with individual debtors in their respective states was mainly by the legislature. Massachusetts has very little laws regarding the protection of an individual in debt whereas Rhode Islands have numerous laws protecting an individual in debt.
According to Madison, larger republics like the United States would enact sounder and fairer policies than small republics because they had the economic and political will/power to do so. Smaller states simply didn’t have enough of both.

For Madison, without a federal veto or negative over the states, Congressional powers and policies were futile/useless as there was no authority to enforce them. Hence breaking the laws or going against policy had no consequence. In addition to this was that a limited negative was worse than an absolute negative because; the states would lose a lot of power/control to the central authority, but this was better than utter chaos within the Americas.
Madison thought a limited negative was worse than an absolute negative because it was better to lose some control but maintain a high level of structure that was necessary for development.
