What is nation of Islam?
Nation of Islam is a black people organization which was formed to advocate for the rights of the black population in the old age. Activation of the rights of the group was because of the challenges the majority African American faced in the United States around the 1930s. They faced problems such as racism and Semitism; these problems encountered affected the African American significantly hence the rise of the Islam nation. The main activists who laid claim to equality were Louis Farrakhan and were referred to America’s leading anti-Semite. The general aspects of his views put to argue that Jews and Israelites orchestrated the attacks on the black people. Louis conspiracies and propaganda rooted that the Jewish teaching propagated the racism and greed hence shaping the black population into bad experiences.

The role of Malcolm X in the group was to find new converts who believed in their ideas and make them members if the’ nation of Islam’. He did this after being released from prison in 1952. Malcolm established the group newspaper and also administered newsletters to their members so as to give a progression of their work and educate its members more on their beliefs. He later left the group and founded another group called the Afro-American unity.
The nation of Islam differs in various aspects with traditional Islam such as the God they believe in Fard is a representation of Allah during the traditional view existence of only one Allah. The prophets they present as their guide and lastly their racial issues also differ widely. The Nation of Islam believes in whites being superior while traditional Islam believes in equality among all races.

Significance of nation of Islam to blacks
The majority of black Americans did not have a say in the policies of the American law and growth. The nation of Islam advocated for equality between the races in that the whites should give respect to the blacks and provide them with equal opportunities in sectors of the economy. This attribute is useful in the sense that the American black’s rights were being fought for and the whites started regarding the blacks as equals rather than lesser and vice vasa.
The Nation of Islam gave the blacks a voice which they used in propagating for equality. Previously the blacks had no one to speak for them and continued to face critics from the white Americans in general. With the Mosques build in the western hemispheres, the blacks were encouraged to have a voice for them and not dwell in the shadow of racism from the whites.
The Nation of Islam also gave rise to an independent African American movement, with its enormous growth it showed that the blacks were in need of support and rise against being discrimination from the whites. This change also helped the spread of information to the blacks hence creating unity among the blacks majority.
