Failure to provide the nurses with Caritas rooms may negatively impact the patients since the nurses are likely to become worn-out, less motivated and generally less productive.

The absence of renewal rooms for the nurses has resulted in potential burnout for them, increased stress, accumulation of fatigue and reduced productivity. A study conducted to examine the impact of Caritas rooms on the health of nurses revealed positive outcomes when comparing the impact of stressors on the nurses between pre-Caritas use and post-Caritas use. These findings conducted at the center staff at Cancer Treatment Centers of America showed that the nurses who used the Caritas rooms reported decreased levels of anxiety (AHC Media LLC, 2016).
