Observation 1
A poem is a writing of a high quality that is full of beauty and also expresses the emotional sincerity that is captured in a story. Besides, a poem is also a powerful instructional and essential piece of writing that can be therapeutic to the reader (Yaron, 2008). The poem ‘Grisly Wife’ expresses the personal emotions revealed through the character of a husband and his newly wedded wife. As represented by the author, the newly married wife seems not quite ready to be around her husband’s arms even though it is their honeymoon.
Besides, the setting of the poem is at night time. This is significantly portrayed by the moon observation and the husband running after the wife while alone in the streets. As a result, the poem shows the beauty of emotions. Besides, the placement of the poem is within a musical background theme. But, the music and video adaptations of the poetry will not change the meaning. When music and video are adapted to the poem, it will act as an assertion of the meaning of the verse. What is undeniably evident in the poem is that the video and musical adaptations reveal the nature and emotions which are seemingly clear.

Observation 2
On the other hand, the poem ‘Spring and Fall: to a Young Child’ is a poem that portrays the innocence of a child as well as the fear that a human being carries along about their mortality. The author of the poem uses demise to represent real-life happenings that might bring sorrow. From the poem, it highlights the story of a young child Margaret, who can barely understand the true meaning of life. However, even though the child Margret is still young and has not grasped the notion of life, she seems to mourn over the falling of leaves. This is an expression of fear.
As a result, the author of the poem tries to empathize with the little child despite her young age, in which the child cannot understand anything about life. This also can be connected to the fear and challenges of life that the poet had experienced. The poet, therefore, used personal life experiences to portray them in the poem. He also feels for the child and wishes that Margret could not bother herself so much. Nevertheless, the performance, interpretation, and background offer a significant change in the meaning of the poem. The poem shows a contrast between the innocence of the little child and the fear the poet might be portraying death.
