Leaders in an organization are expected to make decisions which promote the growth and development of their companies without violating the rights of their employees, customers, and other stakeholders. Nonetheless, some of the decisions that leaders make tend to affect other people in undesirable ways, raising questions about their integrity and ethical responsibility. In the case of Sadhu, the decision that Bowen took, to leave the helpless man on the mountain, without helping him, could seem unethical and inhuman to some people, but might have been the best option available to him in so far as saving the other members of the group was concerned.
Being a leader, people do not expect you to make decisions that could harm others in the name of securing or saving others. A leader is supposed to find feasible solutions to problems rather than running away from that problem. If in the course of executing duties within my organization, I were to find myself in the same situation as Bowen, people would expect me to act differently, for example, they would expect me to give clothes and food to Sadhu, who was helpless and who therefore, direly needed Bowen’s help. In my organization, people have been trained to apply their knowledge and skills, to come up with new ideas and solutions to the problems facing the company and the community as a whole. Given this fact, if I were to behave in the same way as Bowen did, but now within the organization that I work for, then my subordinates would no longer see the practical sense of whatever it is that I have always advocated for: teamwork, being brother’s keepers and innovativeness. In effect, this would undermine my leadership, and means that given Bowen’s case, I would be expected to act differently, in protection of the interests of the frailest members of my team, the likes of Sadhu.

Therefore , it is important that leaders at all-times show and apply leadership skills like kindness, honesty, caring, and innovativeness. Additionally, the people are not supposed to develop feelings that their leaders are cowards: who during stressful situations chooses to run away or save themselves, without caring for the needs of all those who would have been under them.
