Primal Leadership

What does it take to become a visionary leader?

Becoming a visionary leader takes flying the flag of excellence in every endeavor. Visionary leadership entails individuals acknowledging that others are following them, therefore displaying excellence and practicing ‘what they teach' to empower, equip, and enlighten them. Visionary leaders see what others in the same industry do not see, identify opportunities for positive change in their organizations, and readily use what they see to become distinguished and garner respect, regard, and recognition. Visionary leaders achieve for the present but plan for the future, by investing and regularly creating distinctions that are currently relevant and will remain to be relevant years to come (Anyado, 2015)

Visionary leaders also impact different generations positively by inspiring, instructing, and impacting them in strategic but straightforward ways such as ensuring a teaching style that equips and enables learners they teach to excel regularly. Moreover, being a visionary leader entails raising up other visionaries and ensuring they plant a seed of discipline, determination, and dedication to bear fruits for other people to partake.

The "Progressive Era" of the early 20th Century was one of great change.

Which of the changes do you think was the most important?

I think education was the most important change in the progressive era. The result of changes in education was a rapid growth of an educated population that influenced other changes (King, 2011) . Education improved people's well being, promoted gender equality, and fostered industrial growth and its dependence on technological advancement and science. The advancement in education improved the power of labor organizations, international business, and influenced development in communication.

I think changes in politics should not have happened. Politics are dangerous for a country, and even for the whole world. Politics influence most wars globally, encourages corruption, and consumes a lot of citizen's money in the form of taxes in campaigning. People get divided by corruption and are controlled by a few individuals who take advantage of their ignorance and facilitates wars for beneficial gains.

Yes. We have conditions in the U.S today that warrant substantial changes like those of the early 20 th century. The Americans need to change their behavior to provide solutions for climate change. The issue of climate change can be solved by individual and collective effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to safer levels. The changes that are needed to control climate change is citizens to forego the use of fossil fuels, stop cutting down trees and instead plant more, help put a price on pollution, consume less, waste less, and enjoy more, and invest in renewable (Brown, 2014).
