The problem in nursing culture is leadership. Leadership in nursing is vital in improving the levels of operations. However, there are issues with the patient's outcomes due to nurse staffing. The problem arises mainly because of leadership in nursing. With poor leadership, there are no RN nurses who can effectively improve health outcomes.
The project's primary purpose in exploring the problem is to examine the relationship between nursing leadership, nurses' staffing, and the patient's outcomes. The focus is on how insufficient staffing affects the nurses' level of effectiveness and, in turn, the well-being of the patients. The project will measure the level of rehospitalization due to staffing issues, and the competency level of leadership is nurse staffing.

The design of the project is descriptive. Such implies that there will be a case study in a health facility and a sample size selection to represent the entire population. Two main entities will be necessary for the collection of data. One is a survey where there will be an analysis of the patient's records to know the rehospitalization rate and observation to see some of the operations that the nurses carry out daily.
The evaluation of the project will take place through three main steps. One is by reviewing the situation, then gathering the evidence, and making an analysis of the evidence. Being a mum of two children aged 30 and 26 and having practices nursing for 27 years gives mee the needed experience on the matter. I’ve also worked in the NICU, PICU and Peds floors and hence I am quite aware of the negative implication of poor nurse staffing. Also, having done home care to work around children schedule I better understand the need for having a well – staffed health care facility due to the individual needs of the children. Other than being a private nurse duty I have been a pediatric nursing supervisor in one home care agencies and that gives me a good experience on the issue of leadership. In 2003 I attempted a school nursing and I have been there since. Such indicates my competency in navigation of the issue of children. The main concern has been a big flux of students with anxiety making it difficult for them to attend school as I noticed on 2012. The flux has been a major motivation for me to complete the MSN and work towards the metal illness issue. The peer project will change nursing practice through training and allocation of more resources towards the nursing profession—my profession and concern towards mental illness are due to high anxiety.
