This is an ancient site that has been in existence for more than 150 years. The history of Las Vegas Old Mormon Fort is fascinating . A missionary known as William Bringhurst built the first permanent building at the site 1855. 29 other missionaries who were his colleagues helped him to bring the building to life and existence. The idea of establishing the structure was brilliant because it played a major role of serving as a post office and a way station for travelers during that time.

Helen and Archibald acquired the ranch in 1881. The ranch kept on being operational even after the murder of Archibald in 1884. Helen’s father assisted her to manage it.
