The sociological concept of race plays a fundamental role in the interpretation of media content. Most television shows and movies normally aim at depicting certain human behaviors in the society. Some of these behaviors are depicted in terms of symbols, fiction, and myths. However, the race has been one major crucial factor in the interpretation of the media content. Furthermore, psychoanalytic theory plays a crucial role in uncovering some of the hidden motives in the actor’s mind. There are certain symbols in television shows and movies that can only be understood by people of a certain race. Also, symbolism in movies and television shows is meant to confine the content to certain groups of people in the society. For instance, black heroes or heroines in movies can be interpreted by black people as power. Therefore, the contents described by the film or show can be used by different racial groups to understand their importance and the powerful positions they boast in the society.

There are also some slangs in movies and television shows that are affiliated with certain races in the world. Some slangs in movies can be used by a given race to understand its acceptance in the society. In psychoanalysis, human interpretation of concepts can generally rely on their past experiences ( Berger, 2005) . For instance, if the television show is about an event in Berlin, a person who has been victimized racially in that city will harbor thoughts about the racial abuse he or she experienced. Racism is a very common injustice in the society. Therefore, the media can use its contents to campaign against it. Thus, only that race that has been victimized in the past will understand the contents of the media show. Therefore, it is clear that the sociological concept of race is very fundamental in the understanding of human behavior in the society.

Marxism is an example of a philosophical concept that reinforces the ideology of human interpretation of media content. Marx philosophy criticizes some cultural and human behavior in the society. However, the television show that uncovers the elements of this philosophy can only be understood by people with certain historical and background orientation. For instance, most people affiliated with American races will understand the postulations of this philosophy. This is because most American ethnic and racial groups have a common historical background with the Marx capitalism concepts.

The sociological concept of race is a major factor that reminds people of their practices, cultural orientation, and past experiences. Psychoanalysis helps to relate some conscious and subconscious aspects. Impersonation in movies films can be used to uncover some events that a given race of people experienced in the past. However, the intended motive may be hidden enough to be interpreted by members of different racial groups. Thus, people who have experienced such occurrences in their past can understand the message being passed by the film. The media content triggers the subconscious mind to link the event to the past experiences thus helping an individual to understand the intentions of the movie or television show.

The race also plays a crucial role in the identification of the roles being played by certain actors in movies and television shows. Generally, most movies and TV shows are meant to uncover some key events in the past. For example, characters in a Star Wars movie can be used to illustrate how people from a given race suffered in world war II ( Berger, 2005) . Some television shows that involves scenes of violent sexual assaults can be used to depict past slavery and victimization of a given race of people. Therefore, the motives of such shows and movies can only be understood by people with a related racial connection to the events being described by the show.
