Sociological imagination offers the skills and the concepts to respond and expose to social injustice. It is a critical excellence of mind which has aided me to become reasonable and to use the information to attain coherent synopses of what is happening within me and what is going on in the entire world. However, sociological imagination is applied in ordinary life looking at every issue, event and activity using a different viewpoint. In my development pertaining to sociological imagination, I have learned the approaches of becoming self-guided and adopting a deeper understanding of my social context. It has also allowed me to make personal ethical decisions rather than be persuaded by factors or social norms that dictate the various course of actions that are unrealistic. It also helped me to learn more about whom I am and how human beings fit each other in reasoning.

Possessing a sociological imagination is crucial for individual people as well as the societies to understand. The community members are capable of relating in situations that they live their day-today lives to the local and international societal issues that influence them (Mehan, 2016). The societies which lack sociological imagination are always in trouble and the possibility of conflict is very high. The societies lag behind in relation to contemporary cultures progress. As I analyze my own life through sociological imagination, I am able to explain my social forces and act behind them. I am also able to distinguish between the good and the bad acts using wisdom acquired in sociological imagination. Sociology should be utilized by individuals to aid in the life aspect development. Most of the people in society abuse the sociological ideology the idea as a way of running away from the social subjective duty that they are accountable such as promoting peace among individuals who are experiencing different forms of conflict. When people in society lack the skill to attain sociological success, it is very significant to recognize the origins of the structure of sociological imagination. Thus, it is significant that we use our sociological imagination and implement it in our daily lives which will enable us to change our personal condition and eventually create a healthier society.

On an individual basis, sociological imagination has helped me in understanding distinct real-life events and the reason for their occurrences. I have understood events such as poverty, war, joblessness and conjugal breakdown in a wider framework. Individuals are unable to see the issues that negatively influence them in the society because of inadequate capability of making effective relations. They are also unable to determine if the issues that they face requires a change to improve their everyday lives. The sociological imagination aids us to analyze the existing and current patterns of social life (Mehan, 2016) . It also helps us to see some of the imaginable approaches that are open to us. Through imagination, we see not only what is real but also what could become a reality. In this perspective, sociological viewpoint has stimulated the generations of young social scientists. It is clear that the existence of consciousness within individuals can radically change the way they outlook the world events. Additionally, sociological imagination helps us think or disapprove about why persons may make different choices in their social lives. It also helps individuals in clarifying the true reasoning behind any decision made especially in social financial matters and during individuals’ interaction processes.

Conclusion

Sociological imagination is an essential aspect that individuals must understand and utilize in their daily lives. Through the utilization of this aspect, people are able to relate in different situations as well as solve distinct issues that affect them at a local, national and at a global level. Additionally, people are able to make valid decision during the interaction process to yield better outcomes.
