The state of the global health status is measured by the burden of diseases and death rates in each country. It also measures the life expectancy and the number of mortality across all the age groups. Collection and analysis of health data help in decision making during a health crisis, which allows prioritizing. According to Wen et al. (2020), the health care crisis occurs when the current system fails or falls short of providing health care services to the majority of the population, mainly because of a pandemic. Health crisis significantly affects everything from community health care to the economy. Currently, the health sector is in crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic. Most of the country's health care facility is crowded with patients seeking treatment. Health crisis does not depend on a hospital-level of preparedness because when a pandemic occurs, it stretches the facility to its maximum. At this point, most of the medical supplies, equipment, and the workforce become less because the rate of patient inflows is more than expected. As a health care practitioner, the safety of the patients, as well as the ways to prevent mortality, becomes more vital than one's safety. Health crisis calls for nurses and doctors to save lives while putting their lives on the line.
As a parent, the health crisis has a direct effect on one's psychological wellbeing. When a health care facility becomes unapproachable because of its high cost or pandemic, the health of the family stands at stake. At this point, as a parent, I will be more worried about the safety of my family more than myself. My other fear is to get sick and leave my family behind. I firmly believe that one's health status cannot be compared to anything because it is at the center of human happiness. As a health care practitioner, I fear that in crisis, the health care system may eventually collapse, and people will end up depending on their own, which will be fatal. My hope relies on how individuals will play their role in prevention and care because I believe when it comes to personal health, each individual is responsible. My concern is that the pandemic may become more severe than it is for countries that are not practicing the prevention measures provided by WHO.

A healthy population is productive, which promotes economic growth. Health care also impacts the general public by ensuring that quality health care services are accessible and readily available at an affordable cost. However, in the health crisis, it becomes difficult to provide essential health services, which even becomes worse in times of pandemics. In such points, particular measures are put in place to protect the safety of the citizens. Currently, governments have initiated mandatory lockdowns in major countries as a measure to break the spread of coronavirus. What this means is that most businesses will be closed on particular the non-essential ones. The closing business has adverse effects on individuals because most of the people end up losing their jobs. In such circumstances, most of the households will start experiencing a financial crisis. At this point, the government will need to establish a way to provide essential needs to these families. As for the small businesses, they are significantly affected because they will no longer be generating income. Besides, these small businesses encounter huge losses because they still need to pay bills such as rent for their offices and business areas. With all these, it has a direct effect on the economy because it is heading to recession (Fernandes 2020).
Social distancing is a move put in place to ensure that individuals maintain a distance to curb the level of the spread (Abu-Akel et al., 2020). As much as social distancing is essential to us, I feel that it also harms individuals. On a personal level, I think that it has disrupted my normal daily activities, such as social connection. With this, it may affect my social connection and closeness with my friends. Besides, within the family, I feel that everyone is under stress, and no one is willing to talk about it. The cancellation of birthday parties and travels to visit grandparents has had a significant effect on my family. Ideally, stress can result in depression and other conditions such as weak immune response. Since everyone is recommended to stay at home, home-schooling and childcare have become my daily routine. With this, it has assisted me in learning new things such as home tutoring and house chores, which has made me reconsider to be a stay at home mom. My perspective on global health has changed because I believed that the plans and strategies put in place could withstand any pandemic. However, I still think that the health system has done everything to ensure the safety of its people. With practices, techniques, and personal protection measures put in place, other countries can learn from states affected and implement the approaches to curb the spread into their areas.
Some of the unaddressed needs that need to be considered are the care for the elderly and vulnerable communities. In times of crisis like this, minorities need to be protected because everyone is more concerned about their safety. The aged are the ones most affected, and as much as they are urged to stay at home, someone should be responsible for their essential needs such as medication and food. In the future, I would like to see a bill drafted that will address their needs, particularly access to health care services of the vulnerable groups in times of crisis. One of the insights that I have gained about human nature is that during an emergency, people forget their differences and instead unite and support each other to overcome the crisis. For instance, in my area every weekend, we participate in community contributions where we give out food and funds that will go to the vulnerable communities. I firmly believe that as a family and community, we will defeat this current issue, and everything will go back to normal, particularly the country's economy, which has been significantly affected. As a response to my two classmates' posts, I concur with them that after the crisis, most people will need to go for counseling sessions since most people have lost someone or something.
