State politics come with intense competition, which bipartisan divisions characterize. This has put a lot of pressure on many politicians who find it hard to meet and fulfill the promises they assured individuals during campaigns while still staying true to their party's platform. 

Some of the significant challenges that statesmen encounter includes improving infrastructure, maintaining economic success, dealing with unemployment, reducing crime, protecting people, stopping riots, ensuring medical treatment to constituents, protecting national borders, and sustaining job growth. These challenges are hard to maneuver through because of the state competition in politics.

Another major issue that the statesmen are currently facing is the Covid 19 outbreak, which has strained trade and tension, and the blame is on the state governments 1 . Addressing the issue of Covid 19 has become difficult as everything is politicised right from management to treatment and acquisition of vaccines. With intense competition in politics, the statesmen get pressured to address these challenges through provision of better healthcare facilities to handle the pandemic. 

Internal party politics is also a challenge towards performing duties to the citizens. Through competitive politics, most projects derail since the bills that need amendment take time through discussion. The different ideas from political challenges make the implementation difficult. Statements incorporate competitors ideas in projects to make sure that the work doesn't slow down everything 2 . 

The two major political parties tend to differ in terms of platforms and ideas. This diverse rhetoric affects delay in policy development and ideas 3 . This is a daunting challenge that statesmen face. It is difficult to work through ideas and still remain loyal to the party ideology. Most government governments find this challenging challenge 4 . The statesman through the competition in politics receives pressure to change the system that delays projects. 

Another challenge that statesmen face is that they need to face people. They must raise money to fund campaigns, and they need to be responsive everywhere 5 . This makes political groups very competitive and hence the need to come up with strategic plans to run the fundraising. 

As time goes by, the statesmen encounter challenges that become difficult to handle and lead to frustration in their respective states.
