Traveling has become a hobby of many people, and they have for many time trots the globe as they visit many different countries. As a student at a tender age, this has for long been my passion. I have thought for quite some time that travelling to unknowing places, adopting and understanding such places would give me the much-needed pleasure which I have for a long time longed for. Visiting places where I can get to collect information on the history and people’s culture often give me an utmost pleasure and when I finally got the opportunity, I was delighted. I got the chance to be a participant in one of the best archaeology museum in USA by the name the art institute of Chicago to watch ancient artifacts and the general outlook of the institution.

Such opportunities in life make an individual mature and imbibe something in life that makes one valuable. This opportunity made me decide to be different and not to flow with the herd blindly. I came to realize that having the knowledge on such historical events and the unique items is extremely critical when I need to make a conclusion especially on the subject I am pursuing. I become certain that I have to learn more about the archeological items in the museum and this was the force that would push me to visit more and more of the other kind of institution for more knowledge.

This visit was one of the most important events in my life since earlier; I had avoided such places holding the prevailing notion that those locations had no fun that my digital age bracket would enjoy. This museum house many mysterious and fantastic statues which make one throwback to the events which most of learned in the history. It has great mummies, relief and many others. This museum has an aim of making people learn about almost 300, 000 artworks, know their origins, look and however the art work belong to. This museum has art collection around the entire world. This institution originated from academy which was well known in USA. The Chicago designed had all kind of art work which attracted different people. In the years 1866, unnamed artist reestablished the Chicago academy to this museum. He changed its name in the years 1879 to Chicago academy of fine art. This institution is located in Michigan Avenue. It has three recognized entrance that is the Michigan Avenue, The millennium park gate and the Monroe Street.

I was a companied by friends to my trip to this museum. However, as I was traversing through the entire museum and as every bit of minute passed, I felt that I was traveling back to the past when the statues and the archaeological items I was seeing were formed. Right from the time I started experiencing the new life within this institution, I decided to make the most out of my short time within the institution. To make this happen, I bought a guide book which had all the instructions, routes and the map which could guide us to all the research where I according to my course were significant. My knowledge from my course was a boost during my visit since not everything was strange. The institution readily availed the tour guide, and I highly recommended it. Most importantly, I interacted with different people and children speaking a different language. Others were more than willing to tell me the entire story of the whole museum.

Art work is the main item which has given this institution its brand name. According to the tour guide, this institution ranks best in the united states of American on the art work. This is certainly undisputable especially if one is given a chance to tour the institution. There are beautiful French painting which according to the tour guide were made in the 19 th century. The painting s are still were arranged and attractive ( Groom et al., 2010). Alternatively, there are also sculptures and the painting of the 20 th centuries and they are marvelous on the first sight. Moreover, they are provided with a manuscript that describes their history and everything one would want to know about them. Additionally, the children also have their take within the institution where they can enjoy and play as much as they want. Within the institution, there is Kraft Education Center which is set aside for the children to have fun. Moreover, there is a new wing which was recently added to the museum. In this wing, famous artist work such as those from Kandinsky are all housed in the wing. The last art which is beloved in the museum and attracted my attention is the Edward Kemeys’ lions which are rooted on the entrance of the institution. Lastly, the museum had rooms which had the entire traffic map in the entire USA on the children’s wing fixed on the roadmaps. These according to the tour guide were there to teach children on the issues of the road traffic

Conclusion

Besides education which I received on this day as I went through the entire stations in the museums, I was exposed to the unique side of the world. This was the best trip I have to confess I have ever attended.
