My general reaction is that all individuals have their roles in life and in most cases, we do not get to choose our path. However, the function performed by Lynch and Sons is essential to society as they offer services that people are not willing to handle on their own. In essence, by performing this role, the company allows for families to mourn their loved ones and not worry about the technical aspects of the preparation and undertaking the funeral process ( Navasky & O'connor, 2007 ). By detailing the processes that are involved, the firm essentially gives the audience some insight into the business.

The most surprising aspect of the film is the processes involved in the funeral preparation that the family is not aware of.
