The war of 1812 is what is sometimes called the Americans second war for independence by the Great Britain. Before the 19 th century, there was hostility between the France and England, this hostility was renewed in the 19 th century, and the Americans benefited from the hostility. They took advantage of the war and took over the trade with Spanish and French territories in the Caribbean. In the years 1807, Order of council impeding the Americans trade with British was put in place since the countries were still in the war. According to this council, any violation of this rule was punishable. This increases the interference from British territory as Americans right and vessels were being attacked and seized. The Americans sailors were being captured and imprisoned, and this created fear among them. The Chesapeake attempted to seize by the Leopard by the British which ended up with the death of three Americans fueled speculation of this war. Apart from this death, there was other a reason or cause of this war. The paper majors on some of act or issues which fueled this war and some of its consequences for the entire nation.
The primary cause of this war was neutral rights or the trade freedom as well as the right to remain neutral. This was one of the main messages of the Madison to the congress, and it carried with it the cry of the Americans against the British. The war led to the division of the Americans along the geographical line, for instance, the Maritime states voted for the largely for the war. These were the individuals whose cottons markets were mostly affected by the war. Additionally, there were Americans who made huge profits from the trade despite the British harassment, for this reason, they could not stop at anything but to see the primary achievements goal. This frustrated the British and eventually created a lot of conflicts which fueled this war. Another cause of the war though had little impact but played a major part was the conflict with the Native Americans on the frontiers of the farming of the south which were very frequent during this time. The settlers moved further west in an accordance to the government survey, the Tecumseh for instance under the leadership of the Shawnee activities which was one of tribe affected by the war pushed the settlers to unite and fight against the oppressions. This led to the fight which also forms part of the Americans second war. For instance, the Governor William Henry started it all by attacking Tecumseh capital, these people reacted forcefully, and the war broke between the Tecumseh and the Native American territory ( Goldfield 2001) The battle of the Tippecanoe led to greater suspicion that the British had a hand in the ongoing war aiding the native Americans side on the frontier and forcing them as wells exciting them to fight the settlers from the expansion. The foreign interference had to remove for the peace to be restored; this leads to war.
