The writing process is an essential part in the evaluation of literature. In literature, the writing process is used to find a way of reading, writing, thinking, generating outlines and structures, managing time, developing drafts, staying motivated as well as improving style. There is no appropriate formula for good writing but most fruitful writers in literature view writing as a way of communication as well as a process that involve different stages of development ( Bowers, 2019 ). There are three stages that are involved in writing development in literature. One of the stages is invention or prewriting. It is a very important segment in the writing process. Even though it is a significant part, many people completely ignore this stage because they underestimate the usefulness of preparation.
During prewriting stage, a person is required to decide what he or she will write about ( Langan, 2013 ). Then he or she gathers ideas and information that will explain or support what he or she wants to say. Another important stage in the writing process is organization. It is the stage that allows a person to decide how to relate or arrange ideas in an essay ( Seow, 2012 ). In most cases, this exclusive choice determines how precise a person’s paper will be and how the audience will respond to it. In some cases, it is always easy to decide on arranging ideas because some assignments specify a particular way of development. According to Kennedy and Gioia (2016) , the most crucial thing in this kind of assignment is to recognize what these assignments need to structure the essay effectively.

The last stage in the writing process is writing and revision. At this stage, the writer will start to draft his or her ideas on the paper and should not let worries about sentence proportion or word choice to interfere with his or her flow of ideas. The writer should keep the momentum until he or she finishes the first draft. Later, he or she can write the second or third draft and eventually polish his or her writing making sure that each part performs what it should do.
