Theories have various implications in one's life as well as society. Theories such as functionalist, conflict, rational/social exchange, the social constructionist, and strengths perspective are characterized with implications that shape the world.

The functionalists' perspective is associated with manifest and latent implications. The manifest involves the socialization in which education offers to the children. From the time a child begins schooling, one is taught how to practice different societal roles through education on norms and rules associated with society ( Lizardo, 2020) . The functionalist perspective's latent implication fosters the children's fulfillment role in society, such as engaging, competitive life issues.

The conflict theory is associated with the unending competition and inequality in society. The theoretical framework is an essential means through which powerful mechanisms of maintaining power structures and creating a docile force for capitalists can be achieved.

The rationale or social exchange perspective stipulates that social behavior results from an exchange process. The model's implications are associated with people's ability to weigh potential risks and benefits resulting from social relationships ( Lizardo, 2020) . For example, when risks are more than the benefits, people are advised to terminate the relationship.

The social constructionist perspective is based on the idea that all knowledge is constructed socially. The philosophy of the theory is rooted in human experience. The repercussions are based on the idea that cultural and societal norms are transmitted from one generation to the other and are strengthened by social sanctions.

Strengths perspective is a model that entails putting together resources of communities, people, and environment to helping others rather than dealing with individual problems. The theory's implication is based on the notion that people are recognized based on their strength and capacity to learn and change ( Lizardo, 2020) . People and communities are expected to collaborate with social providers to realize intervention by applying self-determination.

I view myself practicing strength perspective theory. I believe that the role of contributing to empowerment programs is an essential part of a committed society. Pulling resources together from different people can be utilized in achieving a sustainable community.
