I agree that organizations today have different ways in which they manage their firmby basing there decision on theory X and Y. The theories have support by which kind of activities goes on and the structure of work. It also depends on the power of management and the way the administration uses its capabilities to execute the daily running procedures of that firm. For the organization to be practical, there some guidelines that management must follow for better results.
In this respect, Douglas McGregor introduced Theory X and Theory Y. Most management today tend to use Theory X, but in the real sense, they need Theory Y. Theory X it's one-sided, as it gives the administration the ability to detect what happens and how it happens. It leaves out the core player of every positive output, which is the minor employees. On the other hand, it also has its importance. In a place where workers are reluctant, Theory X comes out with steady output(Islam & Eva, 2017). It enables the authority/management to give out guides and enforcement so that a specific job must be complete in a given period.

Theory Y is the best to be used in organizations. It is highly rated and recommended. It is also significant as it gives the employees the freedom to air their suggestions'. It even favor's management in a way that they can pick on ideas of some of these employees to run the organization. The most positive fact is that this gears innovation as employees tend to be more creative when delivering their services(Islam & Eva, 2017). The act of offering incentives and rewards propels every employee to give the best. The negative part of it is when having lazy and rude employees. It now makes this theory irrelevant as the employees will be waiting to reap what their colleague has worked for that period.
Conslusively, I think these two theories should be used hand in hand to enable the efficient functioning of the firm. It will also allow the firm to grow in both ends of disciplinary as well as innovativeness. If Theory X is practical, would employees enjoy their freedom of expression?
