I feel that this article is both informative and educative especially to those in the nursing profession. The article delves deeper into presenting comprehensive understandings of the various techniques of therapeutic communication that can are relevant to the practice of the nursing profession. I believe that is article plays a critical role in presenting certain aspects of communication useful in facilitating the healing and recovery process among patients. This article affected me by way of education and inspiration. I have managed to gain a broader perspective and understanding regarding the functionality and effectiveness of communication therapeutic measures. Thus, the article was a good one. 

Article’s Motivation to Changes in Lifestyle 

Through this article, I have been motivated to change various aspects concerning my lifestyle. One of these aspects is observation where I have been motivated to enhance the process and activity of observing to draw considerable attentions in a given circumstance while attending to a patient. I am motivated to learn that my demeanor and appearance just like that of a patient plays a critical role in capturing the attention of others and helps in communicating many things. In this regard, I have been motivated to change my lifestyle with regard to the ways of expressing my behavior and demeanor to others because they have a great tendency of attracting attention. 

Thoughts Obtained from Reading the Article 

The reading of this article enabled me to have a range of thoughts. I started by thinking deeply about the meaning and significance of therapeutic communication. I also thought about the role played by different therapeutic communication techniques in supporting and enhancing the emotional and physical well-being of patients. Then I thought about the various instances or situations that would require the application of the various techniques that are useful in the nursing profession such as making an observation, active listening and seeking clarification among others (Engard, 2017). 

Application of the Article to the Current Job 

This article highlights various areas with broad application to my current job. This article offers relevant information when it comes to staying focus and true to the nursing profession. Its applications come in handy in the communication aspect of caregiving to patients in a wide range of circumstances. For instance, this article explores some of the efficient and effective ways through which nurses can use to acquire crucial information from patients regarding the state of their emotional, mental and physical health. In this regard, confrontation is one of the therapeutic techniques of communication between nurses and patients (Engard, 2017). 

The correct application of this technique could play a critical role in assisting patients to have a better understanding of their situation and eliminate routines that may be detrimental to the recovery or well-being. Moreover, the application of this article is vital when it comes to the response and the communication that comes from a nurse to a patient concerning various matters of treatment and aiding in the process of recovery. In this case, the nurse learns about ways of being effective in offering humor and hope to patients as a way of encouraging them to maintain a positive state of mind (Engard, 2017).
