When deciding whether or not to buy a product, a customer will take several different approaches. There are three choices that consumers can make before selecting the product to buy, namely, attribute-based, attitude-based, and affective decisions. All of them are appropriate depending on the consumer's needs. I recently purchased an HP Slate 8 Pro 7600eg Tablet, and I was inspired to do so by the product's attributes. The product attribute enables a product to look different and unique from other related products, and the characteristics influence the buyer's final decision (Chernev, 2004). The attributes can either be tangible or intangible. The physical product attributes can include volume, shape, color, taste, smell, and weight or material composition. On the other hand, cost, consistency, dependability, elegance, and aesthetics are examples of intangible attributes.
The following attributes of the HP Slate 8 Pro 7600eg Tablet influenced my interest in purchasing it. Its Input Devices & Handling is the first attribute. The HP Slate 8 Pro's multitouch panel is not only covered by a sheet of Gorilla Glass, but it also recognizes up to 10 fingers at once. It responds almost instantly after the tablet boots up, understanding every command without any significant lag or imprecision. The three virtual Android keys and the two physical buttons, the power button, and the volume rocker are all in the same place below the display portion of the unit. The tablet's virtual QWERTY keyboard and spacious layout continue to impress. Typing in portrait mode feels relaxed, thanks to the large display and 4:3 aspect ratio of the 8-inch tablet and the large keys, making it perfect in portrait mode and even for prolific writers and quick typists.

The second attribute is its software. The HP Slate 8 Pro comes preloaded with Android 4.2.2 and a vast range of applications that cover almost every subject imaginable (Masiero, 2014). Numerous Google apps, such as Gmail, Google+, Maps, and Chrome, are included, and the office suite King soft Office and HP's software, such as HP Connected Photo and the printer solution HP e Print. The cloud service Box comes preinstalled on the Slate 8 Pro, with 25 GB of free online storage. Third, the unit has a high-resolution HD monitor, stutter-free HD video playback, and a lot of graphic prowess for games: The features that HP touts for its 8-inch Slate 8 Pro tablet sound promising. The HP tablet claims to be a decent device for HD video playback, thanks to its 1600x1200 pixels and Beats Audio HD sound system. It runs Android 4.2.2, which includes the Nvidia GeForce Tegra 4 graphics processor. 1 GB of DDR3 SDRAM and 16 GB of flash storage is installed, with the latter expandable to 32 GB via a micro SD card.
I believe I made the best decision for the product I purchased based on its attributes. The above qualities, such as appearance, color, and price, all of which are tangible, heavily influenced my tablet purchase. I wanted to purchase a product that would meet my academic needs and make my life more fun outside of class by playing reinstalled games. Before making the final decision to purchase the item, I decided based on what I wanted, which had to be included in the product. In comparison to affective and attitude-based purchasing choices, I believe that attribute-based purchase is the best choice. The strategy enables the customer to make an informed decision about the characteristics that they need for the intended product, which is critical because it avoids potential regrets that may arise from a poor consumer choice.
