People should now recognize that their actions clench significant, long-term, and disastrous impacts on the species of the earth. According to Gregersen (2016), human beings adopt an omnivorous kind of life which implies that they take both flesh (animals) and plants as their food and this has existed right from the word go; However, as much as eating is concerned, even the life of animals is of essence. Apart from the victimization that comes with nourishments, the life of quite a good number of animals is jeopardized in various decrementing manners. As that goes by, a solution to this phenomenon ought to be fashioned and the identified approaches must be endorsed for the purpose of putting the lives of animals into safety. This essay seeks to provide a rigid stand on how animals should be treated and why it is important. However, in its fight it does not demean the life of humans and does not uplift the image of animals It only advocates for the treatment of animals in a humanely way but not as humans.

Most people have never realized that they have an obligation to provide care to their animals especially their pets. Cases of stray dogs and cats have formed a considerable part of reports and daily news. The prevalence of such news has been the aftermath of quite a good number of pet owners. These owners do not have a glimpse of what humane treatment constitutes, they forget to have the simple mind of understanding that animals are not toys to be played with and therefore they need a lot of care. As a result this of negligence and inadequate care, many animals are injured, they die or even euthanized because they cannot survive the cruelty of streets. As that goes by, there is a need to protect animals from the slackness of such owners (Cardoso et al., 2017).

Some of the abusive acts include locking birds in small and uncomfortable cages, flocking many animals in squeezed spaces, slaughtering animals mercilessly, and sometimes going to the extent of locking a cat in a fridge. These are just but a few of the cases that are associated with animal abuse.

To bring an end to this, animal agencies in partnership with the government ought to come with new legislations that prohibit on the victimization rendered to animals. According to Understanding and Treating Animal Abuse Professional Development Program (2007), the existing laws must be tightened and given a lot of consideration. To add on this, organization that stand against animal persecution and oppression must be supported and equipped with the relevant materials to help combat the rising phenomenon. Reports from program further points out that the aforementioned organizations must serve a coalition with the state and federal governments to inspect and license commercial pet breeders and ban retail pet stores. Cardoso et al (2017) further mentions that legislators should also take legal actions against agencies that remove and tamper with the provisions of animals as indicated in animal welfare documents. To polish this, the concerned parties should go ahead and draft bills that will provide perfect protection to veterinarians who report alleged animal vindictiveness.

Silence is the voice of complicity. To avoid the fulfillment of this, communities and the society at large should be educated on the fair treatment of animals. Collective meetings and education platforms based on the welfare of animals ought to be endorsed. The entire public must understand that animals have rights and those rights must be adhered to and failure to comply may lead to conviction.

Another solution should be seldom meat consumption. Gregersen (2016) points out that it is high time that people ought to embrace vegetables and proclaim themselves as vegans. This should not be just by the word of mouth but it should constitute actions. Gregersen further adds that embracing a vegetarian life will reduce cases of slaughtering animals for meat. Additionally, self-proclaimed vegetarians should ask for support from organizations and other people. They should make posters and display their campaigns right for their local areas to international levels .

Carrying out peaceful protests and meetings will also help. protests should be held anywhere especially in the areas that have reported many cases of animal oppression. These meetings should have a common course and should be geared towards ensuring that the welfare of animals is met. Furthermore, a lot of support should be given to PETA, an agency that fights against oppression of animals. People also have the responsibility of coming up with social networks which will help to connect with other individuals who deliberate on the same thing. Subscribing to PETA’s website will help to spread awareness and will eradicate the cruelty that is imposed to animals.

According to Magel, (1985), the laws that protect animals are improving at a very low rate and people are endorsing them with a lot of laxity and negligence. However, these laws can be rejuvenated and rendered to a first moving pace by taking it as a personal responsibility to ensure the welfare of animals is met. It is of utmost significance for people to join and get involved in legislative endeavors that fight animal oppression and aspects in all levels. More so, this will call for personal and communal efforts to collectively agree and form groups and organizations that antagonize animal cruelty. Embracing a vegan way of living will also play a big role in ensuring that the welfare of animals is met. Finally it is important to note that an animal’s eye and plight has the power to speak great language and it is not until one has loved a given animal, does their soul fulfill and achieve total completion and alertness .
