The term unconscious bias refers to the stereotypes that individuals make about other people outside their conscious awareness. It is also known as implicit bias (Harris, 2016) . There are several things that I managed to capture from the video. My biggest take-away is the fact that unconscious bias is something that we all have and it affects us all. Also, any amount of bias will affect business. Besides, it is noteworthy to mention that tackling unconscious bias is necessary to level the opportunities (Gordon, 2017) . I learned that bias affects decisions that take place in the workplace and the fact that companies have to reflect on the candidates’ diversity to make decisions.

Diversity and inclusion refer to a company's mission, practice, and strategies that promote a diverse workplace to attain a competitive advantage through influencing the effects of diversity (Mondal, 2020) . Diversity and inclusion are strongly associated with a company's growth through strategic human resource management. Through strategic diversity and inclusion, there is fair treatment of members in the business. Moreover, diversity and inclusion enhance teamwork and collaboration alongside equal access to opportunities.

Through the recruitment of diverse talents, the advantage of innovation is achieved. As such, innovation is driven by diversity. The responsibility associated with the implementation of diversity and inclusion heavily falls upon the human resource. As such, it is necessary to create diversity and inclusion strategies within performance management, leadership assessment, recruiting as well as training (Mondal, 2020) . It is also crucial to assign responsibility for sponsoring and leading the diversity and inclusion mandate. Creating awareness of unconscious bias through educating and training employees will also play a vital role in promoting diversity and inclusivity.
