Dear Sir,
Ref: Universal Healthcare Coverage
It is an honor to write you this letter and express to you some of the issues I feel are quite pertinent, especially concerning our overall healthcare system as Americans. Healthcare is an essential part of our lives as human beings, and all Americans have a right to access quality healthcare services ( Gardner, 2016) . I am writing this letter to you because you are part of the Republican Party that has presented a bill in congress to try and scrape off the Affordable Health Care Act. I would like to start by expressly stating that a move to eradicate the Affordable Healthcare Act will play a significant part in denying most Americans health insurance coverage ( Buchmueller et al., 2016) . Without health insurance coverage that is heavily supplemented by the government, we run a risk of having a healthcare system that is too expensive and out of reach for the common man.
I would like to point out to you, sir, that a sick nation cannot prosper economically. If we scrap the Affordable Care Act (ACA), there is a possibility that the number of the sick, as well as the community to community disease spread, will increase. An increase in such numbers is likely to result in a nation where people are incapable of engaging in economic activity because of ailments that could have been easily prevented through insurance. It is also important to note that the ACA has resulted in improved service in healthcare. Markedly, this is characterized by the number of people who are currently covered with insurance by the government instigated programs such as Medicare and Medicaid ( Buchmueller et al., 2016) . If the amount of funding going towards the Medicare and Medicaid programs is reduced, the likelihood is that the programs will present a lower level of service to Americans, which will, in turn, lead to a state of overall discomfort in the healthcare system.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
I can confidently say Sir that I am aware of some of the reasons as to why your party, the Republican Party, is going head to head with the Democratic Party on this critical issue. President Trump has publicly stated his desire to scrap off the Affordable Care Act citing the disorganization in defining the people who are eligible to get services through the Affordable Care Act and the overall cost of the ACA on the American people. I must, however, point it out to you, sir, that the act as it is currently has shown a proven track record of increasing the quality of service provided in American healthcare ( Gardner, 2016) . Even though there have been some challenges in its implementation with people questioning the enormous sums of money the government is spending on healthcare, the figures show vital improvements have been made ( Gardner, 2016) . For instance, healthcare professionals on the Medicaid program have benefited from receiving better remuneration packages.
As I finish, I would like to inform you, sir, that I have some concerns about the ethical issues that might arise if the Affordable Care Act is scrapped off in favor of another healthcare system that is yet to be verified. Among such issues could be the issue of identifying who is eligible for the government-sponsored health coverage ( Buchmueller et al., 2016) . Issues with payments will also end up being a problem since it will be challenging to determine how much an individual is supposed to pay for services if there is a change in the system. There is also the possibility that some individuals are pushing for changes in the overall healthcare policy to fulfill their selfish interests. I would like to appeal to you, sir that you consider my letter and the insights shared herein. I am a believer that if something is working, there is no need for it to be changed. Why should we scrap off a system that has provided health coverage to over 90% of Americans?
Thank you in advance.
Yours sincerely,
