Obviously, Progressive Era should not be underestimated from the perspective of a new trend for transformational changes it has actually cultivated within the U.S. society. To be precise, it is worth saying that the aforementioned movement encouraged people to vividly see a dire need to undergo a mind reframing shift, which would endow them with an opportunity to rejuvenate every aspect of human life. A peculiar thing is that an increased focus on fundamental rearrangements emerged to be common for people of different ranks, and the factor of direct responsibility for the ills plaguing capitalistic economy became an integral part of a revolutionary new national ideology.

Significantly, Progressive Era played an extremely significant role, since its proponents put a lot of effort into the development of social organization; one cannot but encounter the fact that principal “progressive” goal consisted in curing some of the country’s biggest social problems. The focus here lies in arguing that a number of Progressive Era reformers drew a particular attention to an epidemic of corruption, making an emphasis on reinterpreting some primary functions of government. To put it another way, Teddy Roosevelt offered to empower government officials to supervise the U.S. economy and enable Americans to have a full access to lawmaking process. One should clearly understand that Progressive Movement reformers distinguished many social challenges, incorporating, for instance, poor living conditions, sexual discrimination, and environmental pollution. In addition, insufficient quality of health care services, poor education, and unhealthy level of self-esteem were some other challenges that the bulk of people passed through.

Among the accomplishments of Progressive movement, it is important to indicate that early 20th century has brought substantial changes to the area of health care system. Additionally, the reformers made numerous attempts to forbid monopolies and a vast amount of new firms emerged, respectively. The rise of muckrakers resulted in a growing social awareness and the occurrence of pressure civic groups, respectively. Moreover, education has undergone some positive changes, since children were less often used as labourers. One should know that Progressive Movement emphasised the problem of environmental pollution. The last but not the least, the 19th Amendment allowed women to vote, whereas the 18th Amendment has been much associated with alcohol ban.

On the whole, Progressive Movement has brought a strong recognition of a dire need to reengineer social organization; apparently, social activism and political reforms have led to unprecedented shift of focus from the predominance of an old regime to a new thinking pattern. Although some goals were not met, Progressive Era still influenced the way that policymaking was conducted as well as self-awareness that people possessed.
