Case #1 Illegal Immigration
Illegal immigration has various effects on the immigrants as well as the population living around illegal immigrants. One of the ways that illegal immigration has been found to affect people is through the reduction of wages (McDonald, 2015). From an objective thinking approach, the increase in the available labor in an area leads to reduced payments owing to the increase in cheap labor. The other way that illegal immigration is affecting people is through the strain on medical providers (McDonald, 2015). From a subjective thinking perspective, the medical providers will strain to provide efficient medical services when the population increases due to their initially allocated area of work. The other claim that has been made in the article is that illegal immigration contributes to crowding in schools (McDonald, 2015). The existing schools in the US have been designed to accommodate a specific number of students. From an objective thinking approach, school crowding may lead to reduced educational quality.
Case #2 Tax the Churches
Religion and politics fields in the United States of America rarely go hand in hand. In as much as the federal law in the country has allowed churches to take part in political debates and even assume positions, most of the churches restrict their participation in politics (Bragman, 2017). The main reason why they restrict political activities is to avoid interfering with their tax exemption. From a subjective thinking approach, the churches in the US may be taxed due to their favoritism for a particular candidate or interfering with a campaign. Therefore, the churches would be adversely affected by taxation. The balance between religion and politics in South Carolina, USA has been altered with by the excessive involvement of the church in political affairs such as inviting members of the public to a political rally (Bragman, 2017). From an objective approach of thinking, the political and religious bodies in the country may be at loggerheads with one another based on their political opinions.
