Sarah is an active leader who was responsible for the transitioning of the physician billing office from its sorry state of disarray to a successful, efficient and organized unit. Sarah had been an exceptional leader from the start as she immediately knew what the unit needed and how to achieve it to realize the success in her unit. I believe that the success in her unit can be linked to several things coming together, such as communication, transparency and use of Christian values.  

Leaders can decide if they wish to have effective communication and transparency in their units or not. I, however, believe that transparency is a key value that is necessary for success (Albu & Flyverbom, 2019). Indeed, transparency does not necessarily mean divulging all the information. Transparent leaders must provide all the necessary information needed by their employees to achieve success (Boik & Worline, 2006). She realizes this by providing them quotas, goals, challenges, objectives, and any other relevant information.

Communication is another key aspect for any leader who wishes to realize success in their unit. An organization with effective communication always realizes success as employees can communicate with leaders and vice versa. Information flows vertically horizontally and from top to bottom to ensure everyone is given a chance to chip in (Newnam, & Goode, 2019). Sarah realizes this by conducting meetings and letting each member of the team contribute to the meetings (Boik & Worline, 2006). Effective communication helps them realize the needs of the unit and how to realize them.  

Sarah's Christian values and work ethic can also be seen in her practice. She is mindful of others and insists on treating everyone equally. In James 2; 1-8, the bible talks of treating each other equally and loving one's neighbor as they love themselves (The Holy Bible, 2019). She is also keen on all her workers and knows what they need and even notices if they do not show up. It is such little things that make her appear as an effective leader who is engaged with her unit.

Sarah is an exceptional leader responsible for the success in her unit. She not only incorporates her Christian values to her work but also other relevant values such as motivation, and communication. Sarah's effectiveness is realized from the beginning, where she knew what needed to be done and facilitated its realization. She understands the needs of the employees come first since if they are not realized, it becomes hard to expect the employees to be productive.  

Sarah is keen on her communication practices in her unit. She asserts that common sense, ethics and values are naturally occurring for all human beings thus builds on them as the background to a successful unit (Boik & Worline, 2006; ). I believe her daily meetings are essential as employees know of the problems faced by the unit and also realize their success once mentioned in their meetings (Newnam, & Goode, 2019). It is such meetings that help in boosting employee motivation and give them guidance on how to approach different challenges they face.  

Sarah also incorporates her Christian values by treating everyone in a fairly. Communication is mentioned in Ephesians 4:29, where the Apostle encourages believers to collaborate and communicate effectively to meet the needs of one another (The Holy Bible, 2019). Sarah's approach with her employees signifies that she adheres to the Christian values that have helped her achieve success in her unit.
