The cardiac system contains the blood, the heart, and the vessels. The blood transfers nutrition and oxygen to all parts of the body, which enables one to survive. The body acquires the nutrients from the blood, and at the same time, it draws out the waste products. The system maintains the flow of blood in the body enabling people to survive. Additionally, the system maintains balance which relies on the continuous and regulated flow of blood through the capillaries that penetrates all the cells and tissues in the body. Nutrients carried by the blood moves from capillary blood into fluids adjacent to the cells as the waste product is drawn out. Multiple regulation mechanisms aid in controlling and integrating the cardiovascular components and their divergent functions to supply blood to specific parts according to the need.

Vasculitis entails the classification of unusual disorders which lead to swelling in the blood vessels. The disorder affects all the blood vessels that supply the body with blood, such as capillaries, arteries, and veins. Also, the disease can lead to the destruction of the vessels that supply blood to a specific body part like the skin or those that supply to various body organs. In most instances, the cause of infection is not known. It can sometimes be due to an infection of certain drugs or another illness like arthritis triggering the illness. Additionally, the body cells can attack the vessels mistakenly. The damages caused by the disease can make the vessels narrow, huge, clogged, and leaky, which distorts the flow of blood.

With the vasculitis illness, the swellings are contained inside the body and are not visible from the outside. Vasculitis takes various forms depending on the affected blood vessel. Vasculitis symptoms range from life-threatening to mild. The symptoms depend on the vasculitis type, the organ impacted severity of the condition. Some people might have very few symptoms, while others become very ill. The conditions may sometimes develop at a slow rate, while they may occur rapidly at certain times.

The disease is diagnosed depending on the symptoms, the patient’s medical history, the physical assessment, and test outcomes. The medical practitioners perform two main diagnoses. First, they conduct lab tests to evaluate the urine and blood, which helps to show the abnormal levels of certain antibodies and blood cells in the blood. Urine tests determine the presence of proteins or blood in the kidney, which are the first signs of inflammation. Second, they conduct a biopsy to collect a small sample of the affected organ or vessel and use a microscope to determine any signs of inflammation or damage in the tissues. Other assessments are carried out depending it the individuals’ symptoms.

Similarly, treatment of vasculitis depends on the organ affected and how severe the condition is. The main aim of treating the condition is to reduce the swelling in the affected vessels. People with acute vasculitis are treated through medical prescriptions, while those with light conditions can find relief by buying over-the-counter drugs or anti-inflammatory medications like aspirin. Corticosteroids are mostly used in the treatment of vasculitis, in which they help reduce swelling in the blood vessels. Additionally, people should speak with their physicians to help determine the probable cause of the swelling. People should also practice preventive measures such as having regular exercise and eating healthy diets to help manage the symptoms. However, if the swelling condition bulge the blood vessels’ walls, surgery can be carried out to minimize the risks o
