The intensive Care Unit is one of the major critical departments of hospitals whose health concerns should be addressed promptly. Assuming I work as a registered nurse on an ICU floor, and at hand is the responsibility of selecting team members to collaborate with and review the Visitation Policy, I should act professionally to select a team of four to five members with utmost qualifications and skills to offer useful teamwork throughout the process. These members include two nurse practitioners, the head of the department, and a support staff member.

The Head of Department should be given priority to lead this exercise. He ought to be a committed specialist who shows impressive expertise and passion for his or her responsibilities. The fact that HOD's are chosen is based on a person's ability to conceptualize a bigger picture or a wider perspective for decision-making accuracy (Craig, 2019). If the Head of Department is not ready to take the responsibility, I have sufficient skills, expertise, and knowledge to take up the task as a Registered Nurse. My wide array of experiences in different health-related fields puts me in a position to lead the meeting and ensure the policy's reviewing is done rationally.

For the team mentioned above to develop a good review and possible reforms concerning the ICU Visitation Policy, opinions and ideas should be collected from various parties, including patients and frequent visitors, based on their preferred changes (Seed et al. 2009). After obtaining ideas from the public, visitors, and patients, the team should now think of the presented policy adjustments, add their own opinions, and reason amongst themselves the best changes. On establishing a solution, it should be shared with the public before making the final resolution. Challenges the multidisciplinary team is likely to face include lack of coordination and not going in the same direction thought-wise. A team needs to reason together to make informed decisions affirmed by every team member.
