Public transportation is important to everyone globally as evidenced in larger cities in America. The most vital concept in public transportation involves the waiting duration between local stops before passengers can board the transporters like the taxi, bus, or train.

Therefore, safer and more attractive environment for public transportation leads to improved streets as places where people can easily get cars and traffic. Economically, more traffic and increased road capacity lead to growth because of the capacity and ability of the travelers to make deliberate choices (Pojani & Stead, 2015). Resultantly, this causes civilization of the members of the society and enables them to accommodate private automobiles. The key concept here involves the increased interactions that promote social cohesion within the streets during transportation (Project for Public Spaces, 2014).

Additionally, secure and attractive environment for public transportation promotes the establishment of parks and squares for the purpose of multi-use destinations. This implies that dense urban residents can occasionally find breathing spaces in the city parks; thus, attracting more individuals to venture in businesses and investments that boost the economy (European Union, 2010). Again, secure and attractive public transportation environment is a greater opportunity for improving the public space as well as revitalizing retail trade that ensures an outstanding collaboration (Pojani & Stead, 2015). Attractive underpasses coupled with the transition in park designs, for instance, become safer and promote continuity and openness in terminuses as trading hubs (Project for Public Spaces, 2014).

Finally, the attractive and secure public transportation environments result in the emergence of local economies through markets. This promotes fair competition among local businesses and eventually encourages upward mobility among the marginalized populations. Therefore, the improved terminuses with modern architectural and technological twists promote regulatory frameworks that expand small businesses and make destinations more attractive to shoppers.
