Hello Arryn, weight management is indeed a hard task, and I agree with you concerning weight loss hysteria. Campaigning for weight loss every now then will continue being the norm if we do not address the source. As much as obese individuals need to lose weight for health purposes, other people should be made aware of how to avoid being overweight by maintaining a healthy lifestyle (Bray et al, 2016). A significant percentage of the obese population in America is due to an adopted lifestyle of excess consumption of unhealthy diets. Let the health and weight management support teams create publicity on healthy dieting. It will help obese patients lose weight while bringing up a population that is free from obesity. Moreover, I agree with the Healthy-At-Every-Size (HAES) Movement concerning body acceptance. Suicide incidences have been reported due to body shaming. We should, therefore, accept them but, at the same time, encourage them to keep a healthy diet while engaging in physical exercises moderately (Wiklund, 2016). Doing more fruits and vegetables and most crucial eating in moderation. Adopting weight crush measures is a short-term solution; we will still end up where we began. Let us learn to be responsible by taking healthy diets.

Hello Carol Rouse, statistics show that one of the leading causes of death in our society today is obesity and overweight (Engel, 2018). It is a cause of alarm, and I support your argument on this. The weight hysteria in our community makes sense and should be addressed to avert the increasing rates of obesity. The fact is most people do not understand if they are either overweight or underweight. We assume to be healthy. I am a good example because I have not had a weight check for a long time, so I suppose to be just fine. Publicity should be made on the importance of understanding one’s weight status. Parents are the leading cause of obesity among minors (Engel, 2018). They should reduce this rate by feeding the children with healthy diets and encourage them to engage in physical activity. Having regular check-ups as well will help monitor their growth. Adults should be responsible enough to adopt a healthy eating lifestyle and attend medical facilities for their weight's status. We can all work together towards an obesity free society.
