Democracy can simply be defined as a system of government in which members of the state are elected in a free and fair election, a state on the other hand can be defined as an entity which has democratic powers with federal form of government (Gerth, 2014). Socialism, is a theory instigated by Karl Marx which he stipulated it to be an economic and political theory in which production and distribution in the society is done and owned by the whole community. America has been for a long time been recognized as one of socialistic states in the world with a democratic socialistic organization, social democracy and labor which is owned by the whole community. This paper seeks to expound on sociology of the American State focusing on the education culture, social groups, gender issues and also look at how negotiations and the participation in political changes may end up resulting in democratic socialistic state.
To start with, sociology first established itself in America in the twentieth Century after having been successful in Europe, at first, early American sociologist only tried to solve problems that occurred on their day to day basis. Problems such as crime, and economic wars were tackled using the sociology theory, as time went by, sociology gained basis in America and more Americans tried to form social theories in large scale, they could now try to solve more complex problem in the society such as child labor using the theory of sociology.

However, America has continued to struggle with democratic sociology, this is because America capitalistic style of economy enabled it to gain more wealth in itself and ended up concentrating more wealth therefore, leaving other people behind. That for a very long time has resulted in economic imbalances and distortions, this is because groups such as women have not been given an equal chance in the American society. That has led sociology in America not to be a reward because the system of sociology can not pay off when individuals can not meet their daily basic needs.
Another way that makes sociology not to work in the American system is the capitalism force that has for years been applied in the American economic system, capitalism relies on forces that come from the market in the fairness of distribution of resources. In that if someone wants something, they must have to pay for it, and the demand and supply of the market most of the time end up determining the price. For the sake of huge business, they have to bear the losses if the market does not perform. Due to that system of capitalism present in the American system, democratic sociology is not easy to be practiced and established, even though the government tries so hard to bring in some elements of sociology through the acts of ensuring the welfare of its citizens are catered for. For instance, there has been an introduction of social security in the system where workers are paid after retirement. The retired workers are paid through the collections they had made during their working days. Social health care systems have also been established, the Obamacare, being an example of a democratic socialistic system in the country. Additionally, the American State has gone ahead to provide its citizens with public education and social securities.
However, socialistic theory seems to be a dream not come true for America, the system is ideal for a society in which none takes advantage of another person through exploitation, whereby everyone in the society is equal (Fukuyama, 2014). Unlike in the American State, the government owns up everything and the citizens are exploited in some way, with strong political hierarchies at the top influencing many decisions, therefore leading to disparities in the economic system where citizens end up lacking basic items such as affordable health care.
In order to make socialism work in America, individuals are required to engage themselves in mass unionization, law makers would also be required to play a bigger role in the promotion of the system through the increment of legality protection on the terminations of arbitrary. To increase community ownership of products and capital, the government needs to agitate for the establishment of social wealth fund and enable individual persons to purchase the capital in an open market so as to gradually increase the capital. Over time, the returns on the purchase of the capital would be equally distributed to every American Citizen therefore contributing sociology in the country.
Social order is has proved difficult to be created in the United States of America and indeed will never work in the country, this is because social structures such as schools, hospitals are still not aligned socially. Women in the state still have a lower bargain power when it comes to making crucial decisions like for example women vying for powerful political seats are looked down upon by their male counterparts who consider themselves superior. Individual in the country are still being discriminated racially (Omi,2014) and also gender wise, labor production and work allocation is unequally practiced.
To conclude, social order simply refers to a system comprising of social structures, customs, institutions and values. Social order in the United States is not applicable because the country is a capitalistic state and therefore, more power in the society is controlled by the state unlike the socialistic theory which advocates that the powers of production and distribution in the society should be in the control of the majority in the society.
