Explain why the children and grandchildren of the Baby Boomers (born between 1946 and 1964) are most susceptible to the plethora of religious advertising in the last 20 years?

The children and grandchildren of baby boomers are most susceptible to the plethora of religious advertising in the last 20 years due to the prosperous life they lived which encouraged personalized consumerism including media consumption. The proliferation of advertisements and media commercials in this era has made them more susceptible to religious advertising which presents itself as a commodity in the market.

What does Einstein mean when he writes, "Religion is increasingly moving from the pew to the pixel?

Einstein means that the source of religious teachings is no longer the sole preserve of the churches but can now be easily accessed through the media which is pervasive in this period

Why is there such religious diversity (Pluralism) in the United States as compared to similar western societies, notably in Europe?

There is much religious diversity in the United States as compared to Europe because the American nation’s history was based of founding principles which enhanced genuine religious diversity that has greatly helped the country to be where it is today.

America as a country is destined to rule the world (thoughts).

The term Manifest Destiny was used earlier in the American history to pronounce their belief that God had destined them to rule over the whole of the North American continent. This idea, which is misguided, took root in the American consciousness making them believe that that they could rule the world. However, it was only a tool used to sideline other races and religions from mainstream society

Response to Classmate

I agree with the idea that saturation of advertisements on the media have made baby boomers become more susceptible to religious advertising as compared to their predecessors because of their consumerist lifestyle. This type of consumption has made the media the main source of religious teachings. In my view, the main cause of religious diversity in America was its solid religious background. It is also my opinion the statement that Americans are destined to rule the world as an ideological attempt by white supremacists to alienate other races and religions from mainstream society by their own capitalistic and racial benefits.
