This type of relationship establishes the kind of interactions that occur when one person is in authority, and the other is not. Further to that, knowing the personal problems that she is facing enables me to manage my emotions and reactions towards the bad treatment that she is giving me. Exercising emotional intelligence will help me to react professionally without jeopardizing my job. It could be the reason why she is mistreating me is as a result of the personal issues she’s having, or maybe she doesn’t want me to disclose this issues to colleagues.
