Pseudoscience is theories, practices, and beliefs, which are considered by individuals and organizations to be scientific but do not have any evidence or based on scientific facts. When researchers present their findings through scientific innovation, study or survey, the offer evidence t prove the magnitude of their studies ( Hansson, 2017 ). In the case of pseudoscience, the findings are presented without evidence, data or information to prove the arguments. It is difficult to convince the audience, students, and a group of people in the case pseudoscience as explanations is offered without proving the theories presented.
Examples of pseudoscience include the 2012 phenomenon where many people claimed that 2012 would be the end of the world because large-scale disasters would occur. The phenomenon was pseudoscience because the people, who claimed that the world would end, did not provide any proof of their claims ( Hansson, 2017 ). In another example, ancient astronauts have claimed that the aliens who visited the earth from unknown place brought the civilization enjoyed at the current era. However, this is a pseudoscience because they did not provide any backup information, data or practical experiment to prove their claims were making it a pseudoscience.

Considering the 2012 phenomenon, it brought various implications to the people and organizations in various countries globally. Since the end of the world was approaching, many people disposed of their properties claiming that would not need them, as the world would end after a given period. Those who disposed from their properties celebrated while waiting for the world to end. It was unfortunate, as the year was received without the world ending and many people suffered because they could not afford to sustain themselves regarding the basic needs of the society ( Hansson, 2017 ). Additionally, other people resigned from their employment opportunities and traveled to their respective homes such they world would end while at home. Considering the pseudoscience of the ancient astronaut that aliens brought civilization, it has brought confusion to the youth people studying about civilization. It is difficult for such students to differentiate between the pseudoscience and the real origin of pseudoscience.
