When two people decide to enter into a relationship, it is often accompanied with expectations from both parties. Being in a relationship is an exciting and exhilarating experience that every human being would want to encounter. However, as the relationship grows, so do the people in it and this will result to challenges. It is important to understand that it is always not easy to let another person into one’s life, but once the two people agree to be together, they become better half of each other. There are difficulties that adults encounter in relation to sexual and relationship issues (Stijntjes,et al,2016) .

Conflict as one of the issues faced by adults in a relationship, has been rated the most contributing factor for partners to break up. Conflicts are always there in any kind of relationship, from the film, we are exposed to the victims engaging in a conflict and they have to find a way forward in ending it. Conflict emerges as a result of misunderstanding and the inability to communicate and find a solution to a certain problem. When two people in a relationship conflict, they find it a challenge especially when both parties cannot find a point of agreement. In the film, the relationship between the two actors grows and it experiences some changes. It is exciting and fun to watch the two grow in love together; the manner in which they resolve conflict is a lesson to adults that face relationship issues. Communication is the key factor uniting the two as shown in the film. The two actors do not hide anything from each other; they are open about everything and anything. Therefore conflict requires efficient communication and this will minimize the issues faced by adults in a relationship.

Time is of essence in any adult relationship, people spend time with those who they value and care for. The twenty-first century has seen people engaging in relationship without evaluating the importance and the meaning of spending time together. Time is an issue that has affected most adults; this is because as the two partners grow together, they end up being occupied with many aspects of life, until they forget to spare some time for each other. This is a challenge because the partners will feel neglected and they will begin to lose concentration about the things they use to value when they were still young in love. From the film, we can see that the couples are spending quality time together. However, as they grow, they become so committed and time has been neglected. Adults face the challenge of time as they grow; this is what makes the relationship weaker and most of them end up in therapy lessons to recover back the memories that had together.

Old adults also face the issue of money; this is an issue that most people either legally or illegally married face. Money has become a common problem that cuts across all the factors in life. Happiness has been associated with money; therefore people do not find the values of those little things that can be done without the use of money in a relationship. Money has been used as a determinant for any successful relationship, and old adults find it difficult to manage this fact. People have become addicted to the things that one buy in order to please their partners, as a matter of fact, how people spend money in the relationship determines the length of the relationship. From the film, the actors in a romantic affair seem to have exercised the virtue of patience, the reason as to why they became successful. Taking a look at the relationship between the little girl Amanda and the old womanizer who is three times her age, we conclude that the girl is in the affair because of money. Perhaps the old man has more money and has found it pleasing to take advantage of young woman who rush for money in a relationship (Yarber, Sayad & Strong 2013).

Intimacy is also another factor contributing to challenges faced by old people. It is important to understand that intimacy makes the relationship lively. It enables the two appreciate each other and perhaps share some good moments together. When there is no intimacy, the relationship is as good as dead. Old people have found this as the most challenging because as they grow old, their level of energy and intimacy excitement begins to fade away. This is where most old people prefer to look for young people to have an affair with and light up their energy. When it comes to gender and intimacy, statistics shows that most females will tend to become less intimate as they age as compared to male. This has resulted to a gap whereby the romance will fade away as the couple grows older. When the romance starts to fade, the relationship will lack excitement, most men will likely to cheat on their spouse because of such issue as intimacy.

The film showcases how a couple can grow in love together and stay strong through taking into consideration the most important things. In this case, the film emphasizes on importance of communication, time, and intimacy. These three things have enabled the couple to keep the romance alive even after they have grown old together. Older adults face adverse effects as they grow because they felt hay have exhausted their youth energy and hence they find life at old age very boring. However, it is not the case for the couple in the film who have learnt to enjoy the little things in life (Holtzman & Sharpe, 2014) .
