Over an extended period, a majority of people across the country have found themselves in a position where they cannot appropriately discern the differences that are in existence between laws and regulations. For instance, the definitions of the two terms differ from one another, a phenomenon that many individuals are ignorant of the law. Law refers to the system of rules that is recognized by a certain nation when it comes to the regulation of the activities that are executed by the residents’ of the state and the diverse penalties that may be imposed on persons who do not act as per the adopted and recognized system of rules. Regulation, on the other hand, is the principle that is put in use when providing control and direction to either an activity or a system. Many differences can be identified when the regulation and law phenomena are contrasted.

The Establishment Process of law and a regulation

The procedure that is followed in the instituting of laws and regulations is not a common one. Whereas a law has to undergo through the laid down bill process before meeting the required status of a law, a regulation does not pass through the same procedure. A bill is first written and then later on sponsored to the legislative body by a legislator, an incidence that provides it with the space of being deliberated on and passed in both houses; the lower and upper houses ( Kagan, 2019). On the flip side, government agencies are the ones that are usually vested with the responsibility of creating all regulations. Rather than regulations going through the billing process, the responsible government agencies hold public hearings from which they make the final decision from the possible options which are having the regulation adopted, altered or rejected ( Kagan, 2019). Therefore, from the above illustration, laws, and regulations are diverse.

Applicability Extents of Laws and Regulations

There is a difference in the number of individuals who are governed by any given law to those controlled by regulation. Laws usually double as rules; hence they affect all people who are within a specified area of jurisdiction in an equal manner. On the other side, the individuals who feel the effects that are brought about by regulation are those whose dealings in one way or another interlock with the agencies that are tasked with having them enforced ( Kagan, 2019). Thus, laws and regulations are different.

How Laws and Regulations Interrelate with the Lifespan Management Issue

Both laws and regulations, in one way or another, interrelate with the lifespan management process. Lifespan management denotes the procedure that is embraced at individual and institutional levels majorly with the target of ensuring that the number of deaths recorded reduces and enabling human beings to live a long life that is characterized by minimal health challenges. For example, regulation help in promoting the achievement of the lifespan management practice via adopting measures that protect the general public from many health risks and avail several public health and welfare-related programs ( Alegbeleye, 2018) . Laws on the other hand also ensure that significant health policy objectives such as the coverage of all people health-wise are advanced ( Alegbeleye, 2018). Therefore, laws and regulations positively interrelate with the lifespan management practice as they advance issues which make the latter issue to be easily achieved within a society.

Several differences are identified when the regulation and law processes are put into contrast. The procedure that the two phenomena undergo before they are formed forms part of the notable and common differences among the two. Whereas laws are required to pass through the outlined bill process before becoming a full law, regulations are made by the government agencies after listening to the views of the public on the specific issue that is under deliberation. It is also imperative to note that the relationship that exists between laws, regulations and lifespan management is a positive one. The duo processes help the lifespan management issue to effectively attain its goals.
