Organizations have different phases in their life cycle, which affect the employees directly. An organization that has reducing levels of morale is more likely to have employees struggling and, in the process, leads to dissatisfaction and employee turnover (Spasojevic Brkic & Tomic, 2016). For instance, the non-profit organization, Let's Rise Above, has had a 50% reduction in the donations in the last fiscal year. The reduction in donations has led to increased tension among the workers, which has substantially dropped the workers' morale in the past year. Specifically, the employees were nervous that they would lose the building space from which they operated in the teaching and simulation of the medical classes. Some of the workers were also concerned that they would have reduced the ability to stimulate the interest that the students have in the medical field. Jasmine, the volunteer coordinator, therefore needs to implement various steps to boost the morale of the employees at the non-profit organization. The following are the measures taken to improve the morale of the workers.

The first measure that jasmine can implement to increase employee morale at her non-profit organization is to communicate more often (Vásquez & Schoeneborn, 2018). Communication is one of the essential pillars of improving the employees' morale in the organizations of the twenty-first century. Jasmine is supposed to check in regularly with the team of employees working with her at the non-profit organization. Since the workers have reported feeling tensioned in the workplace, jasmine can continuously ask how they feel and the energy that is driving the workplace motivation (Vásquez & Schoeneborn, 2018). The employees of the organization can report on the challenges that they are facing at the individual and organizational level, which makes the communication two ways. Jasmine can also encourage the employees to communicate often regarding some of the suggestions they have regarding increasing morale (Vásquez & Schoeneborn, 2018). Over time, some of the efforts that are being implemented at both the management and the employees' level will increase the morale of the employees at Let's Rise Above.

The second measure that jasmine can implement to increase the morale of the workers at her organization is soliciting employee feedback. According to Bell and Raj (2016), businesses should avoid existing as single islands when there are difficulties such as in the sales, or even a reduction in the flow of donations, as observed in the case of Let's Rise Above. Jasmine can organize the workers in groups and let them participate in brainstorming for the best ideas to increase their morale amid the tension that the sudden drop in the donations has caused. Bell and Raj (2016) argue that the participation of all the workers in such an activity boosts their morale as they end up viewing themselves as being useful to the organization. Thus, the solicitation of feedback will eventually boost the morale of the employees.

The third measure that jasmine can put in place to contribute to an increment of the employees' morale is making firm business decisions. The role of jasmine as a volunteer coordinator at the organization may require her to make sound decisions that affect the employees directly. Rana (2015) advises the business managers to avoid being on the fence regarding seemingly difficult situations that threaten the level of employees' morale at the organizational levels. Thus, the coordinators have to make sure that they make the decisions that lead to an increase in the morale of the workers amid harsh workplace situations (Rana, 2015). Jasmine can, therefore, come up with several ideas to increase the morale of the employees, educate herself on the pros and cons of the ideas, and then come up with a solid decision that is meant to boost the morale of her team. If any of the initiatives fails, jasmine is supposed to communicate with the workers.

The fourth measure that the volunteer coordinator can implement to increase the morale of her team of workers is to create an effective incentive program. Employees' morale and subsequent productivity are usually increased with the rise in the money and number of programs that are used for motivation purposes (Chrisman, Devaraj, & Patel, 2017). Rewarding quality employees' performance goes beyond just giving the employees in-house discounts and Starbucks vouchers. Both monetary and non-monetary incentives can be given to the employees of an organization to ensure that their morale is boosted. Jasmine can, therefore, research on the best non-monetary compensation practices that will increase the morale of her team of workers (Chrisman, Devaraj, & Patel, 2017). One of the incentive programs is the free and discounted parking for the employees at the organization. The other practice that jasmine can implement to boost the morale of her workers is the gym membership. Such programs can encourage her workers to work more despite the reduction in the donations, which has caused much tension among them.

The fifth measure that jasmine can implement to boost the morale of her employees is the use of social media to make the employees feel appreciated. Holland, Cooper, and Hecker (2016) discuss the role of social media as a new voice for the employees. In addition to the social media being used as a tool for marketing the products and services that the organization offers, the platform is also used to make the workers feel the appreciation of the organization. Therefore, jasmine can use social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and twitter to increase the morale of the workers. The organization can post about the immeasurable support that the employees have given towards the handling of tasks amid the harsh conditions engulfing the firm.
