There are different diversities across the world as pertains to the beliefs and cultural orientations people inculcate in their lifetime. Some of these differences are natural, and people have no control over them such as race and even ethnicity. Because of these differences, some people are grouped based on their distinct features which may be induced either socially or naturally. This article entails a discussion on the transformation process I underwent from my cultural and religious orientations to the environmentally induced change.
I was born and raised in a family which strongly believes in Christian values and beliefs as the only mode of life. Having imbibed the Christianity ethos, I developed a negative attitude towards same-sex marriages and practices as it was against Christian norms. I viewed such practices as not only immoral but satanic. My reasoning was backed by biblical teachings which guided me since I was a toddler in a Sunday school. However, through research and environmental change, I have come to realize that there are reasons as to why people can find themselves in such kind of situations.

Reading through the social behaviors of people in different settings of lives, one realizes that some people do not choose to engage in some practices out of free will. Some people find themselves practicing homosexuality based on their biological differences which to me is improbable to change. Upon learning that these practices are not wholly mattered of personal choices, I developed insight and changed my former attitude of contempt and started developing accommodation and respect to their views.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is of importance for people to have good relations with the minorities in society. It is essential for these accommodative practices and approaches to be taught to people when they are still young as there is the likelihood of permanent attitude development by some individuals.
