History can be defined as an account of events that occurred in the past that can be narrated in the form of document, tale or orally. Historians relate to the past events through the collection of samples, research, and archeological facts to establish the period of an occasion. In addition, history determines the future occurrence of proceedings through analyzing the sequences of the ancient patterns that aims at providing intellectual perspective in solving problems (Raab, 2016). However, the historical events of a nation are established in national archives in determining and memorizing the essential history of a society such as artifacts. History is also chronological of occasions of intuitions, people or nation that are relevant and significant to the prosperity of a state heritage. However, history may be confined to an individual or collectively to a nation depending on the perspective and relevance of the scenario that unfolded. 

Importance of History 

History creates citizenships and awareness of culture that bind people together through interaction that results to the development of skills and traditions. Besides, history helps in the understanding of cultures and solves the arising questions associated with the event. For instance, why given societies traditions differ from other cultures and provide solutions to the reason why some customs wear differently from others (Raab, 2016). Therefore, the traditions provide an opportunity of integral identities of members associated with a specific culture since providing history facilitates learning of norms. Consequently, through learning of historical events precipitates to transfer of skills from one generation to another thus allowing perpetual growth and maintenance of traditions. History also enables people to understand the society and how to relate to individuals especially when interacting with a gathering such as etiquette.

Understanding our own identities through customs and structures within the community shapes the lives of people in unfolding the world events. However, the situation builds citizenship in a nation with a communal identity of historical sites and symbols such as the flag and national anthem that depicts the reason why the nation became into existence and their heroes. 

Significantly, history reveals the insight and foundation of the problems encountered by the current generation. The situation may lead to contemporary measures undertaken to mitigate risks such as calamities during rainy and drought seasons. Such crisis when they arise in future they can be resolved amicably by avoiding repeating past mistakes thus increasing proficiency in disaster management (Banner, 2012). Customs and traditions facilitate in interpreting, building, and analysis of skills acquired through inheritance from one generation to another thus building resourceful personnel. In addition, learning of multiple tasks adds value to society and avoids conflicting interpretation of tales hence facilitating understanding of changes in the past. 

Professional as Historian 

I would like to know why some activities in the past existed as a historian such as annual cultural festivities and why the symbols of authority are different from the past. This would assist me in writing historical books and compiling the reasons why I chose the profession since my passion for history is enormous (Banner, 2012). In addition, as a historian, I would like to construct more archives to ensure the continuous transition of customs from one age group to another from analyzing the pictorial events to refresh memories, especially among teenagers. The reason for the professional path as a historian would patronize efforts of preserving the cultural heritages that is distinct form others and train others to specialize in the field of history. Such scenario would assist other scholars to learn on the benefits of appreciating customary traditions since it enhances peace and binds citizenry of a nation.
