When I returned to the meeting last month, Dr. LeBron asked me to give a reason why I had been missing the adult classes since the beginning of this year. However much I was not willing to share the information as it often reminded me of the scary experience, the facilitator emphasized. I started narrating the incident to the group member.

“ My name is Mark Copperfield. I live in Texas. I still feel shocked, but I will be sharing my story today. It was on a Friday night at around 1 a.m. I was walking home from my favorite night club, The Nines. I felt someone touch my shoulder, but I ignored it. After walking a few steps, I felt another tap, but this time it was firm than the initial.

“ Who is it?” I asked as I turn around to have a look. I did not see anyone. There was abnormal darkness, but I comforted myself that maybe it was the two, three bottles that I took were impairing my judgment.

“ Hey, Who is it? Speak up. I shouted.

There is no one. The journey to my house continued.

I think this time I saw it. There was a tree standing right on the highway. I did not bother, but when I almost crossed the road, it was like the tree was moving towards me. Did someone stretch a hand over my eyes? I could not grasp it.

When I entered my house, I heard the sounds of a baby crying at the nearby graveyard. The music is increasing towards my residence. After a while, I heard a knock on my door.

A shiver took the better part of me when I rose and walked towards my door to fasten it and be sure nothing broke into. I was tired, and I wanted to sleep. My bedroom was not lite yet. I sat on the sofa, thinking about the night. It then came to my senses that I rushed out of the house and forgot to lock my window when I was leaving for The Nines. Therefore, I went fast and closed it, but this person does not seem to get tired of knocking.

“ Kindly tell me what you want before allowing you in.” I might have garnered enough courage this time.

Nobody responded, but the knocks stopped then I felt like someone slammed my window.

I have locked it right now. I thought as I went to confirm my fears. I did not find anyone, but the window was wide open.

I turned the lights on only to find blood spills all over my bedsheets!

I wanted to open the door and run outside, but someone stared at me through the window and told me to remain calm as it is worse out.

“ Your either calm down or see your blood." Those were his last words before he ran away.

I quickly thought about calling the police to come for my rescue.

I took the phone and dialed the College Station Police Department. That is when the hell broke loose. A black muscular hand immerged from the window roughly grabbed my phone and threw it into the spills of blood.

Another voice, this time, deep, shouted.

“ You thought I’ll never find you?” then followed by a rough half-burnt face on my window. This man threatened to come inside through the window if I don’t open the door. I gained courage and faced him.

“ Am sorry, have I ever met you?

“ So, you pretend not to know me?” he retorted.

He then vanished.

Who killed people in my house? Could he be the one? How did he manage to do all that alone and just through the window? Where did he get these people? Inside my house? But the door was locked. Nobody could have managed to get in.

It was now at 2 a.m. I did not know how to get my phone from the pool of blood. The baby's cry started again, and this time I decided to open the door. I could not find my keys at the table where I had placed them. Then, an unusual thing happened. A swarm of bees entered my house. Before I could counter-attack them, bats flew in through the locked door.

“ Hey, I think you are in the wrong place.” I addressed the unwelcomed visitors.

Immediately the bees started stinging me all over my body. I could not reach for any weapon. I shouted, and what followed next was a loud bang on my door.

"Is this a movie or what," I asked myself.

I think my neighbor heard from his sleep and started calling my phone. That is when the bees let go of me, and the man I had earlier seen in the window stood right there with me.

“ Hey, leave my house. Can you be clear about what you want because I have never seen you!”

He got into my bedroom, grabbed one of the bodies, and threw it to my face. That was when I knew he was ready for anything — a War.

My neighbor came and peeped through the window.

“ Hey Mark, what’s up?” I can’t sleep what is disturbing you?

He did not seem to notice anything fishy in my cage. He then left.

My strange visitor from The Nines or let as say the graveyard was never talking all this time. The dead body he had thrown to me did not hit me.

My phone had started ringing, and when he saw it, he threw it over the window. That is when I saw death had come for me. The phone was my only hope.

“ Please help, help. It seems they were on the same mission. This shocks me to my feet.

I had no clue what I will do next since it was now clear I was not dealing with human beings.

I searched my keys, found them, unlocked my door, and ran outside. The dead body followed me. I saw other naked dead bodies lying down my doorstep. There was light out, so it was clear this was not a dream or a movie. Some of the walking corps seemed exhumed from the nearby grave. I started running. All the lying bodies rose, called me by my name in unison, and this drained energy from me. I fell.

They came running towards me. I had to rise and start running again until it dawned and they had disappeared. I abandoned my properties, went, and started life somewhere else. That is why I had never attended the evening classes since the beginning of this year. I have just resumed this month, but still, it is difficult to walk at night due to this experience.
