Legislators deem birth control as primary health care and the center for the health of women and their economic and educational advancements. The U.S. has 5.9 infant deaths in every 1,000 live births. The infant mortality rates in Minnesota are slightly lower, rated at 5.1 infant deaths in every 1,000 live births. The African Americans and American Indian populations are disproportionately affected. Although the causes of these deaths differ, some could be preventable.
