Motivation is one of the most important aspect in ensuring employees’ productiveness. There are several ways in which organizations can influence workplace motivation. A few include but are not limited to:

Ensuring employees receive the benefits they are entitled to in full.

Being fair regarding the promotion procedure.

Acting in a way that makes employees loyal to the organization, for example, involving them in the decision-making process.

One case of effective motivation by an organization was evident when I worked for an organization as an administrative assistant. The organization in question used vetting as a method of promotion. Employees, hence, were a major determinant of who was promoted to a particular position. As a result, to a large extent, the workforce got to choose their leaders, making promotion a fair undertaking. Employees were hence motivated to work hard because they were sure it was their hard work that determined the position they got.

Stress is of the most counterproductive aspects, yet highly common in the workplace. It is highly necessary for an organization’s leadership to employee techniques that reduce it. A few of the techniques that can be employed include but are not limited to:

Ensuring conflict is resolved early enough and without favoritism.

Encouraging teamwork so as to make seemingly impossible workplace objectives easily achievable.

Ensuring employees’ benefits such as off days and paid vacations are awarded to them on time. These helps them in rejuvenating, releasing stress as well as coming back to work while energetic.

One example that can be drawn from my personal experience is when the organization I was working for wanted to come up with an innovative product so as to continue being competitive in the marketplace. The strategy that was used at first was for every employee to come up with a new product blueprint. They were to be analyzed by the leadership and the best blueprint adopted. It took a lot of time, only for many employees to come with products that were not viable. The leadership then decided to place individuals in groups with diverse individuals. After the above action was taken, less time was taken to come up with spectacular products and employees were less stressed since they shared different responsibilities in ensuring they came up with a fantastic product at the end.

Time management is an indispensable component of leadership. To effectively practice time management as a leader, it is necessary to be highly disciplined. This is because each plan chosen will require routine so as it could turn into a habit. Also, it is important to put in place goals and objectives that are attached to such time management practices. The above will act as motivation to stick to the practices chosen. Prioritizing one’s time as a leader is important because it is not only possible to accomplish different goals on time, but it is also possible to act as a good example to the people one leads.
