Wynwood ambition is street art shown through the Wynwood Walls. The district is one of the most creative in the country with vibrant studios and galleries which defines the energy and sets the tone for the city. The Wynwood walls are commissioned artworks decorating the warehouse district that captures the public art scene in the town to new heights. The empty warehouses left behind by a shrinking textile industry has started to revitalize with the ambition of becoming an art-deco paradise. However, despite the blooming street art, the district is characterized by mostly unimproved sidewalks and streets which are narrow, broken and cracked with little in the way of shades
The ambition is for a greener Wynwood with a new look, greened-up town of expanded sidewalks, street trees and robust urban landscaping ( Alvarado, 2019) . It looks to offer an alternative experience to people looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of typical Miami life by ensuring visitors enjoy the beautiful Miami weather in a fair and green open space. This could also mean safe space for pedestrians and bicycle riders as they get to enjoy the street-art that defines the district.

The conceptual plan is to overhaul the neighborhood’s streets and sidewalks with expanded sidewalks, new crosswalks and new greenery under a streetscape and landscape plan. The plan envisions the creation of woonerfs or greener streets in which pedestrians would mix with slow moving cars ( Viglucci, 2019) . The woonerfs will be landscaped public space where walkers take precedence over cars by eliminating street parking. The plan will entail a one-lane, one-way path for vehicles, allowing space for greenery and pedestrians. One of the woonerfs stretches four blocks along Northwest Third Avenue
The desire to help complete accelerating transition of Wynwood from post-industrial wasteland to burgeoning entertainment industry. It wants to transform the urban neighborhood through pedestrian-oriented public spaces that the plan will bring to the area ( Viglucci, 2019) . It will match Wynwood’s industrial aesthetic and unify the look and feel of the district with a new-look, greened-up
In essence, the conceptual plan is an excellent plan to beautify the city that will help it retain its appeal. However, a concern from this conceptual plan is that it may compete and obscure the colorful graffiti murals and architecture of the district. The trees and the green-up plan could interfere with the street-art character of Wynwood distracting its appeal. As such, it needs to be more an accent than overwhelming foliage since the district needs a real urban feel.
