Basketball has been a sport to be admired by many due to the wholesome action it provides in just a short period. I was fascinated by the sport from an early age as I grew up watching some of the world’s greatest such as Kobe Bryant light up the game. I hoped I might play like them one day and chose to join the game. I did not have the physique or the height required for the game compared to others around me. I struggled to learn and was unable to keep up with the numerous exercises. Some of my friends then convinced me to try some steroids that would help me gain muscle faster and help me get taller. I struggled with the side effects and addiction to these drugs and chose to leave the sport.

One can encourage their child to face their fears. Children often avoid situations they fear and cannot handle. By facing their fears bit by bit, the anxiety fades away gradually. This gives them more morale in doing the activities they participate in. They become accustomed to working under high pressure hence allowing them to manage stress quite easily. One should also schedule relaxing activities. Children also need time to relax their minds and do what they do best. Various fun activities even sports can become fun when the child participates willingly purely for the fun in it. Various relaxing activities include playing a game, painting, having tea parties and other small children games (Przeworski, 2014) .

Aggressiveness can be caused when a person who is attacked feels insecure and lacks self-esteem hence uses the anger to mask their insecurity, lack of inner strength and low self-esteem. People who are raised in an aggressive environment are more likely to pick this behaviour from an early age (Sasson, 2016) . However, people who have been raised in calm environments tend to be calmer and less aggressive. Socially learned cues such as body language and gestures trigger outbursts of aggression. Listening to music can help keep athletes outbursts at bay. Upbeat or inspirational music gives them more confidence and motivation.
